I love what he said about using subtraction, rather than addition, in the process of growing grapes. It is so common now to think, "What can we add?" in order to solve agricultural (or any) problems. So often issues are better solved by removing something instead. We're new to Dry Farm and are enjoying our beautiful natural wines!

What a lovely little short; I love Danilo's reverence for life, for the inherent perfections of nature. He loves what he does and I'm sure his wines reflect both his love and respect for the earth.

Yes, "think for the next generation to make their lives better". Natural wines are comforting and happy for me at the same time.

wow, this made me think of my grandparents, who tended to the land in their tiny village, raised live stock with as much care, as they raised us, grew grapes and made homemade wine ... my heart swell from these beautiful words ... and as I was gasping for air, this channeled message came through:
    an old vine's soul
    _______________________▪_______________________
“deep into the soil my veins seep, reaching
the hearth of Mother Earth and as I drink
her milk and feel her hearth beat, I can’t
help but think back to the times before you,
    .
well before humankind came to be, I grew
    wild, unattended, unkept, unpruned,
year after year, I feed the birds, my stalk
grew wide, my fruit fell to the grown,
    .
the world spun round and round and then
one day, YOU came around, you held my
clusters in your palms and saw raw beauty,
which no one had discovered before that
    .
and this is how it all began, I was no longer
a clump of fruit, I became your food and
soon I could quench your thrust with the
life force I had collected through my roots
    .
we had a few good years, you and I, but
then you forgot that to get, you have to give,
you have to care, not just reap, you neglected
the soil I grew in and I became just ‘a thing’,
    .
no longer alive, I couldn’t breathe, I kept
coming back, year after year, hoping that
you would wake up and tend to my needs,
yet, profit is all you could ever think of,
    .
but now, I see a spark inside your eyes,
a twinkle, I remember from the first time
you set your sight on the field of vines,
and berried your hands deep in the ground
    .
If you could just slow a bit, lay down and
press your cheek on the soil, you would
hear my excitement and that of Mother Earth,
just to know that you are coming home,
    .
ready to feel my beat, to hear my summer song,
to walk the barren grounds in late fall, to sip
my juice and enjoy it too, no rush, no sell
goals, just you and me, dancing in the field” sth
