(offensive strategy) as a winger i found out that making your opponent chase you at full speed is a great way to make him get of balance. so when you are running at full speed near the line you should make the defenders come at you with full speed. and when they are at that point where they are fully concentrated at trying to catch up to you, that's the moment where you should step. as they are coming at full speed its hard to stop as you do it. so making your opponent go full speed and then finding a gap where you can step is a good strategy i found useful as a winger. if you want examples you can go watch Kolbe's highlights, i found him doing it many times , and as we know Kolbe is a fantastic winger. just make sure you don't lose any speed because that make's you a very easy target. good luck!
you can't always be on the openside ..on blindside work to be an option by running inside lines and out the back options.. if you're just planning on scoring simple hands tries you might be waiting a long time
Well explained loved it! As a winger this is could be very useful information to tear up your game and adding examples and animation really helps to understand more easily and have a look closely at what professionals are doing, if you are not a rugby coach you should be as you can help a lot. Keep up the great work! 😊❤
Nice vid, I've found chatting to my centres and agreeing to stay on our feet we can create mauls. Opposition backs and wingers are NOT maul specialists so you can often get an extra 5, 10, 20 yards before they know what's happened. The 1st arriving player can bind quite low around the hips/waist and the maul will almost jog along. If they're clumsy and bring it down accidentally or try and "finish their tackle", it's a pen to you
Thank you for your videos my son has just been given his no. as 11 for u12's and has been told to find research and your video was spot on so BIG THANK YOU
Hooker... one match I came home from Uni and did a few sprints to warm up and was picked at 11! Learned a lot about defending and scored a try looping round and instead of waiting for a pass from 13 I tracked up his bum, smashed a 10st whelp off the ruck making mad quick ball and an overlap for the 14
depending upon on the level/size of player Kicking: long, chips and grubbers, Defense: learning to tackle in akward position not just face to face, multi tasking like villere did, Eg playing halfback
Get good at kicking for touch and chase the ball to put pressure on the fullback/ wing . Look in to Aussie rules football to be good under the high ball. If your wing is quite just pretend to be a flanker get your hands on the ball
Hiya. I’ve got a question I’m new to rugby. I’ve attended a training and was told that a winger follows an inside/ outside centre depending where they are.
Nice video mate, iM following you on Instagram, I already enjoy it, I'll try to get the style, by the way I feel like chesley is my style ... But baout the defence is what I have to correct

haha how does he know
The Defence at 1.09 (dropping off to prevent the clean break) is known as jockeying, a common term in 7s rugby especially.

I’m new to rugby and I’m playing my second game tomorrow as a winger. I’m slightly worried bc I’m not very fast yet
The best way to become a good winger is to have a great creative centre inside you.
Nice video mate, iM following you on Instagram, I already enjoy it, I'll try to get the style, by the way I feel like chesley is my style ... But baout the defence is what I have to correct
