Stunning! Do you use your diys to decorate your home? If you do can you do a house tour? I'd love to see how you incorporate these wonderful pieces into your decor. You're my favorite diy youtuber. Thanks so much for all of your inspiration.
Love this idea...you rock! I purchased my lamp at Goodwill yesterday for $7.00 and now need to find the beads. I will share my pic when I complete. Thanks for the great idea.
+phyllis harris Hi Phyllis, I purchased 2 rolls of 99ft garland. Only used 1 1/2 rolls to complete it. The amount needed depends on the size of the frame. You may not need as much as I used.
That is exactly the PRICE I have been looking for. I will use this idea of the lamp shade "bones" to make a chandelier over my soaking tub. (ornamental only) Loved it.
im busy making me one....but I have to use pearls which I have to put in strings myself. can't find that kind of stuff this side of the world....I would love to have some of those....its gorgious. ...
This was my 1st DIY I tried. It was a great idea but you’re right. The heat from the bulb is a concern. I recommend securing it a different way…maybe on top of the fabric that comes with the shade. 🤗
New sub! I really love all ur ideas from the videos I've watched so far & can't wait to check out all ur videos! I love how detailed you're instructions are. That is so beautiful, chic & elegant! 😍💖Thanks for sharing! I wud of loved to have seen how it looked lit up at night! I so want to make me a couple of these lamps, ASAP! May God Bless You & Happy Holidays! 💟
+Tanya Raymond Thanks Tanya! For the size that I did, it works fine with hot glue. If you do a smaller shade frame which would be closer to the bulb, I would use RapidFuse All Purpose Adhesive. It dries really quick and stays put.
Hi, this is a really cool DIY project :))) You might have covered it and I missed it but where did you get the lamp? It is so perfect for this. If I can find it or a similar one, you gave me the idea to do a row on the inside of the top too so it's a double layer of crystals:))) I really love what you did! Just subscribed!
+Ava Callaway Hi Ava! Yes, this is so easy to do and I absolutely love how it looks. I only covered how to make the lampshade in the video but didn't mention the base. I purchased the base years ago from Rooms To Go. I've seen very nice bases at Goodwill that are waiting to be cleaned and painted.
You mean, "Elegant", Hun. "Elegant" means pleasingly graceful, tasteful, sophisticated and/or stylish in appearance or manner. "Eloquent" refers to a way of speaking clearly, fluently and persuasively or to clearly articulate or indicate something.
Not Tryin' To Hear You! you're absolutely right and thank you for correcting me! I use talk to text and it doesn't always get it right, therefore I really need to double check my comments before posting them!
+Woopty Doo I was very fortunate. There's a lot of air that flows between the beads and the bulb which doesn't cause the glue to melt. If it were a smaller sized frame, results may have been different.
treshaja thanks for the fast reply! I'm def going to make it. Love your channel btw, I have so many gift ideas for the holidays now from your videos. Everything you make is gorgeous, chic, and not tacky looking at all. Looove it!
+Shavell Pouncy That's a good question. You could always use e6000 but I wanted a glue that would dry quickly. I've been using this lamp for about 9 months now and haven't had any problems with the hot glue.
I LOVE LOVE your Work. I've created one of your DIY projects. Everyone is in Awe!

one more question.....did u purchase 3 rolls of the 99ft garland?
+phyllis harris Hi Phyllis, I purchased 2 rolls of 99ft garland. Only used 1 1/2 rolls to complete it. The amount needed depends on the size of the frame. You may not need as much as I used.

This was my 1st DIY I tried. It was a great idea but you’re right. The heat from the bulb is a concern. I recommend securing it a different way…maybe on top of the fabric that comes with the shade. 🤗

So pretty. There is no problem with hot glue on a lamp that heats up?
+Tanya Raymond Thanks Tanya! For the size that I did, it works fine with hot glue. If you do a smaller shade frame which would be closer to the bulb, I would use RapidFuse All Purpose Adhesive. It dries really quick and stays put.

Hi, this is a really cool DIY project :))) You might have covered it and I missed it but where did you get the lamp? It is so perfect for this. +Audrey Gordon I purchased the garland beads on Amazon.

+Maribel Rivera Thank you, Maribel! 😊
That's very eloquent!
+Ty Levett It sure is. I love these so much!
You mean, "Elegant", Hun. "Elegant" means pleasingly graceful, tasteful, sophisticated and/or stylish in appearance or manner. "Eloquent" refers to a way of speaking clearly, fluently and persuasively or to clearly articulate or indicate something.

+Ty Levett Thanks Ty! 😊

+Flowergirl Power LOL Thanks! I'll remember that next time 😊

+Montrice Sherrer Awesome!! Thank you so much! 😊

Did the heat from the bulb melt the glue at all after a while?
+Woopty Doo I was very fortunate. There's a lot of air that flows between the beads and the bulb which doesn't cause the glue to melt. If it were a smaller sized frame, results may have been different.
treshaja thanks for the fast reply! I'm def going to make it. Love your channel btw, I have so many gift ideas for the holidays now from your videos. Everything you make is gorgeous, chic, and not tacky looking at all. Looove it!
this is so amazing
Thank you!!
Awesome!
+Ashley Williams Thank you!!
AWESOME.
+THERESA GUEST Thank you!!
I love it
+dsparks149 Thank you!!
is hot glue better for this project or the other glue
+Shavell Pouncy That's a good question. You could always use e6000 but I wanted a glue that would dry quickly. I've been using this lamp for about 9 months now and haven't had any problems with the hot glue.
treshaja awesome thanks for replying
Is that glue going to keep it together for a long time?
+Jennifer Ogudu It works for me but if you are uncomfortable with it, you can always try another glue that you like... maybe e6000, etc.
Love it..
Thank you!!
Cute!
+vgomakeupspill Thank you!!
does the heat from the lamp ever melt the glue?
+sarah west Everything's holding up well. The heat doesn't seem to affect the glue at all. There's a lot of room for air to flow in.
treshaja 😊 thank you for replying. I can't wait to try this!
Instead of a frosted bulb you should've used a clear candelabra bulb, you would've gotten a clearer & brighter light.
+Pamela Eady Thanks Pamela
