Concrete Clips is a series of informational videos developed by FHWA. Curing is an important step in concrete construction that affects both strength and durability of concrete. Concrete gains strength through a chemical process called hydration. Curing refers to the steps taken to ensure that the moisture and temperature conditions necessary for proper hydration of concrete is maintained. This video presents an overview of concrete curing.
