      I could take from this video is that curing start when surface begin to dry
      Normally around 6hour to 24 hour
      Dont add water before 6 hour
      Too late when after 24 hour

    Gotta say this video is useless. There are 6-7 videos that are under 2 minutes with more information.
    The average person who went and bought some concrete just wants to know how when to start wetting the concrete, how many days to do this and how wet to get the concrete when you wet it.

      Hi Anthony! Do you have that information that you are talking about or a link where I can watch those videos?
      Thanks in advance! Is because I just poured my driveway of concrete and I don't know the process of curing
      Also can you please explain if just regular water will help?

      @@Je1gonzalez Hello. 2 sum up everything I learned from someone replying 2 help me... After the initial set of the concrete, start wetting it and don't let it dry, even if you have to use a sprinkler system or wet it several times a day with a water hose.
      Use regular water from your house. I don't know how wet you should keep it.
      My project was different from yours because I was securing 2 4x4s for my fence.
      I poured my concrete on a Friday, didn't learn about curing until Monday night and didn't start wetting the entire area until Tuesday morning.
      I believe it came out pretty strong, but if I started keeping the mix wet within the first 12 hours, I believe it would have turned out stronger.

      That's what I'm doing right now, I'm weting My driveway every two to three hours.

      @@Je1gonzalez The video that helped me was called WATER CURING OF CONCRETE. It's less than 2 minutes long. Try leaving questions there and if you're lucky, someone will chime in with some good advice.
      Some even use plastic &/ or burlap material to hold in the moisture.
      Good luck.

    Just had a 2-3" 120 sq ft slab poured yesterday 10/18/2021, Sunday. The guy told me not to spray with water. I think, I should spray today. I used Q-5000 for this top landing. The 5' & 6' steps (2-3" x 1') slabs were poured with Sakrete 5000 (couldn't get the Q-5000). The "bleeding" was basically removed by the masons. Other masons told me to spray when I had other jobs done. Also, I was told to remove forms on Wednesday. The finish looks a bit a rough. I want to sand to make it more eye appealing before applying a sealer.

    I have a question from engineers if we do concrete curing by ponding method will it be beneficial even after water turns hot by sunlight????

    • @lollasatyanarayana8885
      @lollasatyanarayana8885 3 роки тому +2

      The main aim of curing is to prevent escape of water which was mixed during initial mixing process. Actually, 14lt per bag is sufficient to develop required strength. But for the purpose of workability, we use water from 20 to 23 lts.
      So, ponding method can be used even water turns hot. No problem even if turns hot. The aim is to prevent drying of concrete surface.

    What is the minimum days for curing Slab

    • @MrDaku94
      @MrDaku94 4 роки тому +1

      The minimim days of curing is the minimum time for the concrete to reach the class of design, which is 28 days, in simple terms, the time needed for the chemical reactions in the cement to occur so the concrete reaches maximum strength.
