Really the one issue with most bands today is how much credit the brass section gets versus woodwinds. When I ask people about the bands they like most are brass heavy with not much love shown to the woodies. And hearing this as a woodwind player makes me want to play a brass instrument when I go into college. Same with DCI. I feel that I have to learn different instruments to have equal opportunities. But dont get me wrong I love all instruments, but I do feel woodwinds need some love and equal chances...
