I'm so glad you do all these videos - things starts to get really easy to make great tracks when hearing your wisdom and I can focus more on composing - Big thanks - You are so much money Dom!
Cubase is the best. Amazing DAW. Bring us a fantastic update. Working daily with Cubase is such a joy. Can't wait to use the new update. Thanks for the videos, tutorials and guides to use the software and help us make great music.
Super!
HI DOM. I missed something in this video. Would you please tell me what you did to find the pre-sets in this Vocal chain. What exactly did you click on to go directly to the presets menu?
I'm only part ay through the video and I"m wishing that you used a rock vocal instead of an auto-tuned pop vocal. One with a lot of soul and inflection.
Yeah, I feel a different more bland example recording would have been better as a demo. This one seems to be pre-processed and pitch corrected already in bypass mode so it's impossible to judge whether the plug-in's pitch correction is just plain bad or whether it's due to the source material.
what I don't understand is, how can something like Omni Channel have zero latency and this has like 200+ ms of latency? I imagine it's much more processing-intensive but holy cow.
Vocal Chain adds a ton of latency for me to the point that it really isn't useful for tracking. Nothing else adds this kind of latency for me. I hope this is a bug and not a feature.
The latency a plugin has is not related to how processing intensive it is. It rather depends on the kinds of processing used. Specifically it depends on if an algorithm needs to know some future samples in advance for processing/outputting the current sample. That's why certain effects generally *can't be done without any latency*, regardless of processing power. Some examples: Linear phase filtering, look-ahead limiting/compression, spectral effects (de-noisers, etc.) and pitch correction. Does the latency of vocal chain maybe disappears when turning off the pitch correction?
I was hoping to use this on live vocals but unfortunately it adds over 230ms of latency. Unusable and very disappointing. Feel like I've paid £85 for tap tempo!!
All nice & smooth but paying 600 dollars for cubase 6 & then every year paying for a new version 99 dollars is another 700 dollars , they should release new versions for free.
Vocal chain has a HUGE latency, when inserted while tracking... So if you want to have a quick decent sound on your vocal track while comping it's completely useless. Embarrasing...
Noise Gate has been around since 1930s, do not play the game of “now days with the home studios”. If you wanna learn us something, teach it properly. Cubase is not FL, it is an industry standard heavy weight DAW directed to professionals so many of us amateurs who come here for tips, do so to re enforce what we already know. In my case for example, I am not here to use the plugin it self, but to see what processes/ plugins and in which order, Cubase teaches us, that are involved in the vocal mixing from raw vox to radio ready. So presenting the Noise Gate as a recent invention for the home recording setups, sounds diss honest.
@@gnick88 oui mais il date du début du siècle. On attend une évolution concrète de cet outils comme les arpégiateurs d'Omniphere ou Rhythmizer Ultra par exemple. L'arpegiateur de Cubase stagne depuis les années 90.
Just like any other insert effect: go to inserts in the inspector, click the empty space, type vocal chain in the white space on the top right and select the plugin.
Dom + Cubase = an unstoppable force

One of the most useful plugins that Steinberg has developed in years. I absolutely love it.
Yoooo, this is nice. But what else would you expect from Cubase? You guys have always been leaders in the industry. Cannot wait to try it out .
A voice leveler would've made it the ultimate vocal plugin, great stuff.
Please, what kind of mizer/controller do you have in front of you ? Thanks
when i use vocalchain should i change the vocal track to stereo (two rings symbol) cause there are delay and reverb in the vocalchain plugin ?

I wish steinberg would have done something like the studio rack on this. Keep it blank and let the user decide which plug-ins they wanna load on this
Thanks a lot Dom ! Great demo !
This is amazing
HI DOM. I missed something in this video. Would you please tell me what you did to find the pre-sets in this Vocal chain. What exactly did you click on to go directly to the presets menu?
Great feature!
Now this is great. How much is an Upgrade from 11 Pro?
Really amazing Daw . I'm using it from 15 years✌
My respects Dom ! Can you tell me please what audio interface are you using ?
Hi Dom, what are the reverbs in vocal chain?
I have Cubase Pro 10.5 can you buy this plugin anywhere or do you have to have 13 ?
the original voice track is already destroyed by autotune, calling it unedited is a crime.
i just bought cubase 13, new to it, how do you add vocalchain to audio track??
Would the vocal chain be a better or worse alternative to using SSL vocal strip and Valhalla Vintage verb?
Probably not better or worse necessarily, just convenience and workflow. There are a lot of tools at your disposal!
How do you edit vocals After recording?
Bravo love this
Where i can get that Plugin?
Or is it already in there
do you recomend use the plugin in a bus?
This was wonderful till I tried to find this plugin in my Cubase, but i did not. Took a little time then I notice it was for Cubase 13 I have 12 Pro 😞
Cubase is the best Amazing DAW. Bring us a fantastic update👍
Sensasional!!!

Dom is the best
Cubase Pro only?
Wheres the video that you show all these in detail?
i use steinberg til pro16. and if i cant get a note right, i sing it til i get it.
Cool. But maybe not much of a revolution if you already own the iZotope Nectar plugin.
I love you Dom 🤣🤣🤣
The vocal demo is so heavy and badly auto-tuned (which could be the creative reason, but), even at 24% it is very apparent.

I'll be trying the pitch correction but I've set up Melodyne into my C13
Resizing still no option?
what I don't understand is, how can something like Omni Channel have zero latency and this has like 200+ ms of latency? I imagine it's much more processing-intensive but holy cow.
It's not, this contains tuning and reverb. Without those the latency is probably pretty low

@@theBlondBrogre I see this as a mixing plugin as opposed to tracking.

@flyingsquirrel3271 the latency does not disappear even if I disable the entire plugin. It's a significant difference
Call me odd, but I like the dry version

He's showing off more than teaching.
❤❤❤❤
Not to be negative but the Pitch correct is so bad

Könnte man mit Cubase 13 dieses peinliche Stöhnen der Dame am Ende der Wörter wegmachen?
This guy is talking about how low CPU load is, meanwhile this VST gives like 0.1 second ping while recording.

Toujours pas d'arpegiateur !
Several Arpeggio midi inserts already built in
