    A tip on the Sketch sequencer: you can use the keyboard and octave keys to then draw in the notes that you want with the knobs. It’s a lot more useful than most people think. Great for getting ideas off the grid.

    • @ChumpyDumps
      @ChumpyDumps 4 роки тому +17

      Yup, it's cool for sequenced glides. Divide your current tempo by half and have it go through the sketch super slow for interesting textures and rises and falls or just sequence chords that have notes starting and stopping at different points.
      Extremely underrated sequencer that people seem to think is a joke but its one of the most powerful, if clunky and impractical at times, sequencer on the op-1.

    Great videos explaining the OP-1! However you should totally watch these before buying one. Here I am, with the OP-1 in my hand, spending almost all the time pausing the video constantly playing with the OP-1. It takes about 2h to watch one of these videos constantly getting lost in the OP-1. I love it!

    Thanks for the OP-1 videos. I never had the OG but I just got my Field version and I’m learning so much from you. I’ve been using my OP-Z as a sequencer for the OP-1f drums, but getting used to the built in sequencers is worth putting in the time. I would love if you made an updated series featuring the OP-1f, but I guess other than a few edge cases these videos already cover the same info. Thanks again!

    Hi Jeremy. I don't suppose it really matters which video in the series I post my comment as they are all superb. Thank you so much for this OP-1 collection. I am now considerably less well off than I was a few days ago since I could no longer resist finally buying one. That a 10 year old designed piece of kit should still appear magical, is amazing. Looking forward to the weekend to get to grips with it. Cheers. Lee

    Can you play a sequence on the fly and auto quantize instead of plotting your steps one by one?

  • @Blogspierre
    @Blogspierre 3 роки тому

    Pattern is a great tool for determining a perfect loop BPM for a desired loop in the sampler. I’ll adjust the start / end of a loop in drum mode, along w/ the pitch (speed), and get it looping perfectly, then I change the assigned key to one shot (->), and drop that note into pattern. Then, just enable “hold”, and go into the metronome, and adjust bpm til it loops perfectly. Now, I have the exact bpm so the loop is perfectly matched to bpm, when I record to tape. It’s quite simple.

    Hi Jeremy
    If I would like to emulate Tombola sequencer , into a sampler/Looper device like Deluge, Octatrack, MPC should i think it as polyphonic phrase as chord notes with some sort of randomized triggers maybe by lfos or comditional triggs for the Gravity ?
    Or how would you do it?
    Thanks and regards My friend
