Pastor Rodney, I loved the Sunday school lesson. Your teaching and notes are always helpful to help me understand the scripture better. Great teaching. There is so much of God's wisdom in his word. There is no way we do not have the ability to make wise decisions in difficult situations.
Amen. We have to seek God's Word to know His will. If we don't read the bible, we can't know what God requires of us. God is holding us accountable for what He has told us to do.

Thank you for a great lesson.Perhaps this assignment was not given to Jeremiah, He was not in Jerusalem. God had sent him to visit the Jewish exiles in Assyria.
Two points: 1) the prophetess did not go to them with a message; they had to seek God out. Don't wait for God to look for you. 2) The prophetess had no warning in her message. Often God might say, "If you repent, then I shall hold back (Think of Ninevah when Jonah went to them). This time Huldah offered no escape hatch--they had truly gone too far. No more warnings-just judgment. Love you. Stay safe.
Great insight into this portion of scripture!! Well done. Holy Spirit truly guided you. Just wanted to address your comment to the writers of this lesson about wisdom. It seems you said the prophetess didn’t need wisdom as that is what they do - speak God word. To me God’s word is Wisdom. A definition of wisdom I come to like is knowing God’s word & doing it!! The true wise person is the one who obey Gods word so I agree with the writers to title it that way. Not a big deal just wanted to share that. Keep up the good works & God bless you to be a blessing to us!! 🙏🏿🙏🏿
Hi. Thanks for your teaching. I do have a question. In light of Deut 18:20, if a prophet makes a prediction that does not come to pass, is that not a false prophet?
Hi there blessings to you, thanks for question. If a prophet makes a bad prediction, the word is false not the prophet. Remember in the lesson the concern is the word not coming to past.
Pastor, at some point in her life, Huldah had to make a choice, to be for God, or Not..I believe she showed "Wisdom" in decision-making..much like Solomon when God gave him a choice..just saying. Too often the writers give too little background on the supposedly main Character - Huldah. knowing more about her would add credence to the "Wisdom" theme.....peace!
great lesson as usual - but I will disagree concerning the idea of a prophet giving a false report - I think its an indictment that this person is a false prophet... false report - false prophet - truth occurs- true prophet ... Huldah was a true prophetess - but why they went to her instead of her contemporaries - we dont know
blessings to you and thank you, if you look at last week's lesson, the LORD said if a prophet spoke and the (word) didn't come to pass, that they were not to be afraid of the prophet. what makes a false prophet is, when they were not called by God , so regardless of what he prophesy he is still a false prophet. but if a prophet of God spoke a word not from the LORD, they are still a prophet but spoke a false prophecy

Question: What determines a false prophet ... If that prophet lies about something? Wouldn't he or she be a false prophet or just a lying prophet?
Lol good question, it would be a prophet that told a lie or gave a false prophecy.
They didn’t get the appointment because they didn’t deserve it..! Those Boys were soo evil 😱
