Just wait till you hear my theory. Freddy Fazbear is an uber guccie fortnite player who cranks 90's all day long until William the purple boi took his Xbox. This left freddy with no other option than to release the beast in side. Freddy ran in Wills bedroom and took him to flavortown. Now Monty was a big homeboy of William so he did the only thing he thought reasonable. He decided to pund the crap out of Freddy's lover, Bonnie.

I think you’re looking to deep into this. It’s just an alternative universe with alternative events and an alternative storyline. It’s not a VR.
That's exactly what we thought about the books and now they run parallel to the games, give us more insight than the games, and have become more complex than the games and even give complexity to the games that didn't have any

To my knowledge Matthew was only contracted for 3 films. Not that they are making 3 films. A similar situation happened back during Scream 2 where he was contracted to appear in the film but never did. Just because he's contracted for multiple films doesn't mean they will happen. Aside from that Abby is Mike's sister not daughter. So good video but it probably should have stayed in the oven a bit longer.

The movies are meant to only be based off the first three games, with maybe some parts of 4, also yes the movie is canon, but it’s in a different continuity, which is how we have Vanessa as a police officer instead of a Freddy’s guard, and also if we were to take the first three games and only use them, we know William used the spring Bonnie suit in the MCI, but it could be like matpat said with it being all parts of the franchise boiled into one, or it could be your theory, and it’s a simulation, who knows, love the theory tho! 💯

I remember hearing that too when Matthew Lillard was announced but I think that was something someone misunderstood and it spread like wildfire. Lillard said he signed a 3 movie deal and I think someone misunderstood and said the movie is gonna be the first 3 games. Although maybe I'm getting my wires crossed and both were said which I'd be happy with cause then we'll see the springlock scene in the movie!

In my mind, the movie universe is a completely different universe than the ones in the games.
I think that the elements from the games like sister location and security breach, likely wont happen. MAYBE a fnaf 2 will happen though idk.
They had to streamline a ton of things… you’re making too many assumptions, and I think Scott was going back to his original idea of the franchise with the added new stuff for younger fans. Hope you enjoy the film..
Try to go in without expectations. Then you can experience the film as much as possible. (Not super accurate)
fnaf started simple and became more complex overtime, you don't need a degree i story analysis to figure out the story of fnaf 1, and you wont need to for the film, also its confirmed this film takes place in the 2000,s so theirs's no futuristic stuff here
I agree it started simple but that's because Scott wasn't expecting a second game, let alone an entire franchise with games, books, toys, and movies. Not to mention everytime he had an idea for the games and decided to take them in a completely different direction after. Plus this is the franchise with robots with face scanners connected to a criminal database back in the 80s and the sister location animatronics that are somehow the most advanced but some of the earliest creations in the timeline
Wildly plausible with all the media we've been getting about Nightmare gas and AR, aside from confirmed abby being his sister, but i do like the theory.
Abby is also an anagram for Baby though, so maybe that's more of a hint towards the characters future?

The Lore is complicated, that's the exact reason I don't believe it's gonna be simple. While my theory may be too complicated, I do think there will be more than what we are expecting

The reason Mike beats up the guy in the mall is because he mistakenly thinks that the guy is kidnapping a kid, who is actually the man’s son. He is set off because of his trauma from his little brother being kidnapped by William Afton just meters away from Mike and his family, though he doesn’t know his identity yet.

It's not that it can't. It's more like the FNAF franchise doesn't give us normal. Even the first game had small Lore bits to hook people in so they wanted more. Every time we got something new, it was very different from what we were expecting, and I kind of expect it with the movie as well.

Understand why, but i would HATE a complicated fnaf movie as i want a single fnaf timeline that has a simple story
Hate to be the barer of bad news, but all of fnaf is complicated. The movie might use the games and books as just source material and change things to be less confusing for a wider audience, but it's still pulling from complicated material and adapting things to the movie might even make it more complicated since it doesn't follow the source one to one
I had a wild thought about the scene in the trailer with the mask that has the blades in the back (and it's probably too wild but it's just a thought) the mask comes from above and the chair has human sized hand cuffs to the chair.. maybe this is a machine to lock and combine a person inside the suit.. so It actually gets stuck and binded with the person from the inside. I feel like this would also exsplain why the little girl gets in the taxi with freddy at the end of the trailer... and also (unrelated) the little girl saying"hello" in the trailer sounded so much like balloon boy it is suspicious 🤔 what do you think?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought she sounded like balloon boy! It's interesting to think that maybe it's Mike in the suit when Abby is holding hands with it and in the cab with it. Not sure if I agree because I think there's a point in the trailer where it's a blink and you'll miss it situation where someone else is also strapped into the chair but I definitely like the thought of it being Mike!

I wouldn't think its a flashback unless they are trying to cram 3 games in one movie, and that just feels like a lot to go over when we know they have 2 more movies planned

I would say that this is plausible, but you lose all credibility by claiming that abby is mikes daughter. Instead of just researching the games, research general audiences.

springtrap doesnt exist before fnaf 2 he exists after due to the fact that fnaf 2 is a prequel in fact the fnaf 1 location which came after actually is where he got springlocked then again the movie is out now and while the theory is wrong it is interesting in points

Well, 1) you missed the detail that Abby is Mike's sister, not daughter. Something tragic happened to their parents, clearly, and he's her guardian. and 2) if this is the case, what's the dealio with the gang and the other security guard who get killed by the animatronics? If the world only exists for Vanessa and Mike, then those characters don't need to exist at all. If your theory were true, nothing that didn't directly involve either of those two in either an active or watching capacity would be on screen.
3) What you are describing would piss off anyone who showed up for the movie and was not already a Freddy's fan. See, the trick here is that you need to make something that is pleasing to dedicated fans, BUT as it is the first entry in a new medium, you also want to take this opportunity to try to "onboard" new fans who aren't familiar with the original medium. Scott already did this once when he moved to writing books, with books that reflect the Freddy's universe, but aren't canon to it. Movies are an entirely new genre, and so a complete story needs to be crafted that can be understood by people who only watch the movies. If they decide to check out the games because of the movies, that's great, Scott sells more stuff, and they have an entirely new lore to explore. And if they decide they only want to watch the movies, that's also great. They can enjoy the continuity of the movies without being REQUIRED to do anything else. (this is an aspect that Disney, for example, is massively failing at in their Star Wars and Marvel properties at the moment, but Scott tends to know better, and hopefully Blumhouse does, too,)
I can see your confusion with my theory and I'll try to explain myself a bit better her. 1) I do understand it's his sister, not daughter but I recorded me saying daughter and didn't realize my mistake until after o had the video 90% finished and instead of going back to re edit everything because I said the wrong word I just chose to leave it in (probably a bad decision since half the comments have been correcting me but oh well)
2) the old night guards death would be due to the children's spirits trying to gamer with the simulation to get Mike into the Pizzeria and presumably save them. Like any videogame, there needs to be npcs sitting around in order to make the place feel more lifelike. If the immersion in the simulation breaks, then it could lead to a way for Mike and Vanessa to escape. My assumption is the spirits kill the old night guard and are the ones who put the job posting up hoping Mike gets it before the simulation attempts to correct itself and get another npc night guard.
3) How I described it might make people angry about the movie but I do believe if they went through with this plan it would work extremely well. The alternative seems to bee that it's just fnaf 1 but as a movie which I think would make many of the fnaf fans feel disappointed after the movie. This franchise has grown and built itself using the Lore and hidden secrets to keep the fans interested and always wanting more. If we go into it expecting how it'll start and end then it'll be disappointing for the fans and could make them less excited for any future films. Giving the audience an unexpected but interesting twist will leave them begging for more. Thanks for the feedback! I hope you unjoyed the video and enjoy the movie!
@@TerminalError Basic tip, if you miss something that is literally spelled out all over the place (like Abby is the sister), it makes the entire rest of your theory seem less credible because you couldn't even keep track of the few details that we know are set in stone. Therefore, you seem less likely to know what you're doing in terms of crafting other theories because you could just be ignoring other details that don't suit you, or maybe you're just not very attentive to what's going on in the first place.
I'm saying this in the spirit of being helpful, not to just dunk on you. I believe your explanation and all. this is just why it was a bad choice and something to keep in mind when you do stuff in the future. Being wrong about a theory is normal. Being wrong about 1+1=3 will just make you look bad.
2) If Mike and Vanessa are in the AI, there's no need to lure them anywhere. They've already been lured in. And while killing some NPCs at the front of a video game might make sense, if Vanessa and Mike are the only people who matter, it's pointless if they don't see it. It has no impact. Also the destruction of Freddy's and the deaths of Hank's gang serve no purpose as Mike and Vanessa appear to not be around for that. If the game can just download into Mike's brain that he has a sister named Abby, it can download other stuff it needs to download in order to motivate him.
In terms of movie filming, all this stuff with the guard and the gang make sense to show the audience at least some of what is happening , to establish the monsters and the need for a new security guard. That's part of movie storytelling. Storytelling where the person the story is for is mindwiped and pre-programmed with the knowledge you give them, they don't need any of that. I'm not going to say it's impossible for you to be right, just that if you are right, then they're crap storytellers. And I'm more inclined to think they know how to tell a story than that your theory is correct.
3) I'm sure there will be interesting bits of lore. There's always interesting bits of lore. But let's compare to the three different series of Freddy's books. Each series takes place in an alternate version of the FNAF reality. It tells a similar story, but there are different clues and implications to each. And because each book series starts with a different reality, they've provided onboarding for new fans who can then go back and play the games.
If you do a rug pull on people who go out to see a scary movie that sounds kind of cool, and they're not video gamers, and then you give them homework to make the story make sense, not only do you lose all those new people who came by to give your story a chance, but you're probably going to actively piss them off. (Disney Star Wars and Marvel properties.) That's bad. You don't need haters around pushing people away from your IP. You don't need the people old fans cajoled into watching a movie with them to be pissed off at those fans for their suggestion when there's a rug pull only people who've played the games can understand. That is, again, bad storytelling. And Blumhouse may make horror movies, but they've got a rep for making reasonably good ones with solid stories. I don't think they're throwing that in the garbage for FNAF. I think they went into this intending to tell another solid story. And Scott has shown himself to be a brilliant promoter of his IP. He's going to try to gather up the new fans, not send them after him with golf clubs.
There's supposed to be three movies if they do decently well. The movies will almost certainly be consistent with each other. But while there may be clues and new ideas for old fans, it's probably going to be an alternate reality to some degree. The game fans with get clues in the movies just as they do in the minigames.
Anyway, I'll leave you to your theory since you seem so convinced of it. But I think you're missing a lot of internal and external storycrafting concerns.

Thank you! I know it's not a perfect explanation but there's obviously some connection with Abby and Golden Freddy since over half the time we see her in the trailers she's with Golden Freddy or some sort of bear plush. The movie comes out soon, so we won't have to wait long to find out.

Yeah the interview was posted the same day I posted my video and it didn't even come into my youtube feed until yesterday, but this is the franchise that has the toy animatronics take place in the 80s so it's not impossible to have highly advanced technology in the 2000s

I mean, the whole "vr stuff" just sounds lame and well. It's pretty possible that (as in the games) the sequel ends being a prequel and the third part ends being the closure, mostly because this is a whole new canon, with more writing freedom.

I personally don't think anything to do with the funtimes, salvaged, rockstar and nightmare animatronics wont be in the films at all, maybe references or something but not actual characters or anything that big. Ok not gonna lie, i hate this theory not in the way like its bad or just straight up trash i think this theory is great and well researched, but i hope this is not true, like the fact that its all just program is super weird. I agree with this movie will have bigger plot twist than what are we seeing in trailers but "its all AI and program" is maybe little too far and I just dont think its true. This theory wasn't even a theory. All you did was tell us about your very loose speculation and didn't even provide evidence to back it up. Also that would be a lazy and sloppy script.
