There's also a book called 13 Alabama Ghosts that tells the stories of 13 haunted places. The Kenworthy/Carlisle Hall house has always fascinated me. There is a courthouse somewhere that has a face in the window on the very top floor too, and I have seen it & it's very creepy.
13 Alabama Ghosts (and Jeffrey) - Kathryn Tucker Windham. She was my great aunt on my father’s side. Those books helped pay for my early adulthood (college & housing) while I worked as an editor for her 😊
I've grown up in Florence, Alabama we have several haunted locations, including Forks of Cypress, the former Ghost Bridge, and Sweetwater Mansion, and the story of Molly at the Off Campus Bookstore of UNA. I also suggest Founder's Hall of Athens State University. As well as the old Bryce Mental Institution in Tuscaloosa, AL.
I live in Alabama. I know about all of these places. Sloss used to have a haunted house for Halloween. They stopped doing it. I don't know why they stopped. Ive seen things here. I saw an American Indian man's ghost in Calera Alabama. Ill never forget him.
May I suggest: 1. The Consultation Church in Red Level, Al 2. Engel Mountain, AL 3. The Cry Baby Bridge in Hartselle, Al 4. The Tutweiler Hotel in Birmingham, Al 5. Montevallo College in Montevallo, Al
Consultation church Sadly got burned down by arson. A group of us went out there one night, went back maybe a month later and it was gone. Some say the owner did it to keep trespassing down, some say it was someone that just couldn't leave others property as they found it.
@@chasestacksofficialThe video was about haunted places ONLY in Alabama. Yes, there are haunted places everywhere else, but he's talking about places that are most haunted in the state of Alabama.
Grew up 10 minutes away from Huntsville and went to Dead Children's Playground A LOT. That place is the real deal and ill never forget swinging on that swing set
Forks of Cypress, Unisersity of Montevallo, Auburn University, UNA, the Courthouse in Selma, quite a few places around Florence, Alabama. Native of Alabama & lived here for almost the last 45 years (moved from age 3-11). former history professor at The University of North Alabama
I used to pick psychedelic mushrooms in McCalla Alabama. There was a sweet old farmer that would let us pick em’ if we would help him on his farm. God rest his sweet old soul…..Tom
The gunn-bellinger house in Gadsden, AL is said to have a woman and a child who look out at people from a top window - but the very first residents of the home for some reason dont show up in records.
I went down Jack Cole Road one time when I was around 6-8 years old. I saw things in the woods but my family convinced me I was seeing things, but I swear there were things running at the same speed as our car.
Thanks for the video. There are some older cemeteries in East Central Alabama and one large cemetery in Montgomery which are legendary for paranormal events. Some parts of far East Central Alabama have cemeteries so old they're grown up with trees in the cemetery....long forgotten.
When i was in 3rd grade, we went on a field trip to Sloss Furnace and many of us saw a figure on the underground train tunnels and heard a piece of metal being thrown. I always believed in ghosts after that.
I’ve had so many strange and unsettling events occur in the Talladega National Forest. I go often..I grew up in a haunted house, so it feels like home to me. I will start telling my stories soon on my channel I think… there’s a lot!….Tom
I went through that park and it felt eerie af. Like I never went back type of bad vibes, and I had no prior knowledge of anything bad happening through there lol
You should go to a Cemetery in Warrenton,AL. Bow Range Cemetery it is truly haunted I have been their. Grim Reaper was seen their. I believe the name of the road it's on is Bow Range Road.
Me and some friends used to sneak into Sloss years ago never saw anything but it was pretty creepy. We would climb up to the top of one of the things that the raise the coal up to and drink and just look around downtown. It’s the one that Zack Baggins climbed up on ghost adventures and acted like he was going to fall through 😂. I know he wasn’t because we were in there about 2 weeks before they came there. It was still pretty sturdy.
Just wanted to mention, Graceland is haunted. Not what you would call very haunted, but I saw Elvis and his mother while we were there. My 19 month daughter did too. We are the only ones though. We're both along with my youngest daughter are sensitives.
Thanks for checking out this upload @aahart420. Do you have any specific stories or experiences you can share with us about your time working at Sloss?
I’m from and live in Bama been here almost all my life and I live about 40 45 minutes from sloss been there for Halloween haunted house type thing it’s creepy
I saw with my own eyes at moundville a tragedy. Someone was leaving the park and going across the bridge. His canoe detached from the top of his truck and entered an oncoming car through the windshield. The driver was hurt. …did the canoe owner steal an artifact?…..Tom
You get sweltering, freezing, tornadoes, flooding from the massive amount of rain, or a combination/all of it in the same day😂😂😂 There are only like a collective 3 weeks that are perfect all day in Alabama😂😂 60s-low 70s, some sun, and a nice fall breeze🥰😂 Alabama weather is like a box of chocolates… I wore shorts on Christmas once or twice in the last 10 years lol. The weather has been pretty nice the last two days. The humidity and mosquitoes have been ridiculous this summer!
Thanks for checking out this video @WesleyOrshoski. We do discuss Sloss Furnace in this video. Have you gotten a chance to check out any of these locations before?
Thanks for checking out this video @MontanaofandHopsinsSTAN. We love hearing suggestions from listeners about locations to focus on for future videos. Can you tell us a bit about Hells Gate Bridge?
I live in Birmingham Al He was pushed into the furnace, they said he was a real A hole, made the wrong one mad. Still just hear say, but being burned alive??? I can think of 1000 better ways to go than jumping into a furnace!
Thanks for checking out this video @kylesyx8432. We agree that being burned alive sounds absolutely awful. Have you visited any of these haunted locations in AL?
@@clairestephens4916 I think it is in Lawrence county or Morgan county. Best time to go is the week of Halloween. Chicken foot in Hillsboro is also creepy. Satanic stuff has went on there. Plus you don't want to walk to close to the pasture along that road. At night it is the only area that has a foggy mist and you can faintly see a werewolf type entity there. Just don't go near it. People have claimed they got scratched or bit. The only animals that roam that pasture is cattle. At night there is no cattle roaming on that side of the pasture. Definitely look from the road. Do not walk in that pasture.
Thanks for checking out this video @Claireannette77. Do you have any particular stories or cryptids you're familiar with that you can share with us to focus on for future releases?
Tannehill state park isn’t really that haunted I’ve been thousands of time during the day and night and not really any ghost activity . The most ive seen is at the old Bryce hospital the jemison center in northport Alabama and sloss furnace
The old Moody Brick House in Pikeville Alabama. I used to do plumbing work there and I heard some creepy stuff about that place. It has a basement that you wouldn’t catch me in it after dark. 🫣
I'm about 15 miles from Huntsville, Alabama. Sloss Furnace is beyond spooky even in the daylight
There's also a book called 13 Alabama Ghosts that tells the stories of 13 haunted places. The Kenworthy/Carlisle Hall house has always fascinated me. There is a courthouse somewhere that has a face in the window on the very top floor too, and I have seen it & it's very creepy.
That courthouse is in Carrollton AL in Pickens County. It’s hard to see the face from the ground but there is an arrow up there pointing at the pane.
13 Alabama Ghosts (and Jeffrey) - Kathryn Tucker Windham. She was my great aunt on my father’s side. Those books helped pay for my early adulthood (college & housing) while I worked as an editor for her 😊
That’s why in Carrollton Alabama the guy was named Henry wells.
I think that's the one I read back in the day. Like around 1990!
That is in Carrollton Alabama. I have seen it.
