Thaaaaank you
A very nice detailed video. I like the way you demonstrated the Standard vs. Scope vs. Scope + 10x Phone pics.
Great review, sir. I am not interested in buying a phone scope, but still watched the entire video and commented, so you are obviously very entertaining. ;)
Really liked the solutions you used after the mount broke.
Thanks.
You gave the best review yet. Thanks!
Finally a review that makes sense and has actual footage I'm really impressed with this video you've done amazing mate I am particularly like how you take a picture of it what you're seeing then with the monocular and then with the zoom camera and monocular.
Very impressed thank you.
Good video, probably the most descriptive and you have far more knowledge of the moving lense part names and what their purposes are for, gave me a good education.. I'm just bleak that you hadn't realised that you should operate these on about 3x or 4x digital zoom as a setting to begin from with the optical zoom and then you would have a full screen image as the circular vision will be zoomed passed digitally as well as the hue/blur around the rim of the lense.. well I just thought that now ( 4:49 ) and maybe you still get to figuring that out.. But anyways, I'm not even halfway through the video and I have paused to subscribe and turn on notifications before I forget and leave this comment.. Good Job Guy.. 🙃
just purchased one of these and now know what to expect with vision. Much appreciated for video!

This is a thorough review. Interesting, too. Thanks, great work !
Great video thank you for the in depth analysis great work!!!
Awesome video thanks. I have the S20 Ultra with 100X zoom and i would love to remote view the moon. What product do you recommend to use with my phone to get the best detail when viewing to moon? Thanks 😊
The lack of sharpness around the edge is because of quality of lens they used. but the small viewing Circle you see when using the phone is because your eye relief is too far back. when using a phone try lowering the eye relief Just until you're able to get the biggest circle possible. Too little, however, and you will start to see a vignette, which is make the circle smaller again
You made me laugh so hard.
"Don't look at the sun!! or it will cure your eyes!"

...actually scientists now say it's good to look at the sun occasionally just for a second of course... BUT DON'T DO IT in case you have extra sensitive eyes.

You narrated the correct usage of the product. Thank you Bro...
Good video, I have liked and subscribed. You zoomed with phone only. The small button on the telescope where it says 40×60 is it for focusing to have good view on objects only? Or it can be used to zoom in too?
Thank you, your video is very helpful!
Very nice review man, thanks!!
When he was scanning down the tower .. looked like a sci fi movie.
This was a cool vid but I liked it because of the way you improvised when the knob broke off the camera mount.
Thanks for this helpful video. The manufacturer did not include any manual.
Excellent review. Nice scenery! Burj Khalifa?? Awesome!
Good review, thanks!
Great Information! Superb delivery !!
Thanks!
I think he said it cost 8 pounds , what do you expect , the Hubble Telescope .

OMG ! 🤣👌 lol
I expect whatever that can be used to zoom into your benis, but maybe the Hubble Telescope cannot even see that one 🤣👌

As a Space Nut😂😂😂😂Ill Stick To My Celestron Telescope...Needs Collimated Badly
Hi. I want to ask do you know how to lock the dual lens from auto switching? Every time I use the telephoto lens and zoom more then 1.9x and focus, it switches lens and turn the screen black..
This was one of the best reviews in informative, easy to watch style! Good job Brother!
Thanks :)
Good review!!
Very nicely done video.
very good review, thanks, seems to be a significant optical distortion upon magnification
Very good review.
To remove the Round circle in the black field effect, you must get the Androids Camera closer to the hole in the bracket. This may mean removing that foam layer on the mount. This is definitely not a 40x zoom Monocular, as I've compared it to my expensive Celestron Binocs with 10 X 50 coated optics, and it's a 10 X magnification. Your individual Smart Phone may have another level of Zoom as well. The mini tripods are obviously a joke, as the Phones tip them over, so a low cost tripod on EBay is best option. These are a great entry level Monocular no doubt, but it's not a Nikon P1000.
Really helped me,thank you so much!
Nice view of Dubai. had Coffee and cake at the top of that building.
did you use oneplus 6 for the video?
Definitely not 40x zoom.
A lot of fringing so pretty crappy optics as well.
Not 40 x for sure, but also not a zoom lens at all, and the manufacturer didn't say it was a zoom lens. It is said to be a telescope or tele converter.
more like 8x
04x
@juand mejia it's not even 10x. U can't compare camera optical zoom and binocular magnification.
i just bought a LUKUN 40x 60 that looks exactly like this, is it possible to tell me where you bought that tripod stand please.
I have the exact same setup with a different brand of Chinese mono scope but it's hard to use in bright daylight. I am trying to mount the phone inside it's original box, cutting a hole to put a magnifying lens in front of the screen so I have a viewfinder and I can press the whole thing up to my face like a DSLR. I can still use the volume button to shoot.
The moon shot looks good! Good review.
Thanks for this effort 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for sharing this review 💕
Good reviewing.
Great review thx
Great video
That was awesome...thank you
Hmm, I think 40x here refers to 40 times the area.
Generally this would be 10x in digicam terminology like you said.
Binoculars use both the zoom systems I have seen - where 10x or 40x could be the same.
very well explained keep it up
Is it available in Amazon / Flipkart..??
The moon moves in full zoom fast. That’s all. Good job
You should compare it to a rifle spotting scope 60x they look about the same as what you've shown.
P.S. I've never thought any scope really equaled what's on the package.
Thanks alot for a perfect explanation
Thank you for this review 👍🏻
excellent report, thanks
Which phone is it
10x magnification means 10 times closer, not 10 times bigger : you see the image as if it was 1/10 the real distance
Because of the geometry involved (similar triangles), it actually means both: 10 times as close is the same as 10 times as big.
Here's my explanation. If you look at a scene with just your eyes, you see everything that fills your field of view. If you walk towards the scene until you are 1/10 of the original distance away, the _angle_ of your field of view is the same. Because of similar triangles, the new scene contains only 1/10 of what you saw in the original scene; however, that 1/10 of the original scene _now fills your field of view,_ which makes _that part_ of the scene look 10 times as large as before.
Behold the awesome power of math, my friend! :)
Ok, I'll think a little bit about it before replying :)
Do you have any useful information about this? I've been searching and I have o clear idea about this. But after having used many binoculars, I doubt that objects are 10 times larger. They do get larger with increased magnification but IMO not as much as the magnification of the optical instrument.
get a 1-meter stick or a tape measure extended to 1 meter then lean it against the wall walk close until the whole stick is in your view (so you cant see anything above or below.) then get your binoculars and look . at thje stic. if you see 10cm of the stick then your binocular lene is 10x optical zoom. if you see any more then unfortunately it isnt
@@kanopus06 10 times larger, closer or taller ( bigger ) or whatever is a strange thing in reality but here's my twist on it.
1 meter x 1 meter is, lets say normal but 3 meters by 3 meters is 9 square meters 3 x 3 = 9 so this is 1 (no zoom) to 9 zoom, only 3 times larger and 3 times wider, it appears only 3 times larger as it's only 3 times taller and three times wider but in reality it is really 9 times larger, well that's from a two dimensional perspective anyway.
I had to figure this zoom thing out myself years ago because I felt let down by so called zoom ratings on scopes but It does make sense to me now.
Good quality lenses are the first most important thing plus a large objective lens or ( aperture lens ) as they're called make a huge difference.
If a scope has these the rest of the build will probably be good but a well made scope with poor quality lenses is mostly useless although good lenses may be install-able.
I prefer less zoom with good quality lenses than good zoom with poor quality lenses as I can always increase one way or another on the good.
I hope this helps kanopus06, this way of looking at it helped me understand this zoom equation lol.
4:52 zooming in.. cool!
There’s a difference in saying binoculars or telescopes are 10 x and saying a camera lens is 10x as this is computed differently. The x in a camera lens refers either to the accepted normal lens focal length versus the lens in question, hence 10x would mean a 500mm telephoto lens. If it is a zoom lens then the x is based on the widest angle 35-350 zoom is a 10 x zoom. 50-500mm is a 10x zoom.
Image size is confusing since the size of the image capturer on an iPhone or iPad is about 1/4 of an inch (more or less) but the image on screen can be 9”x12” or so on the iPad.
35mm Macro lenses at 1x would produce a 1 inch image of a 1 inch line. Digital cameras have confused this.
Note, a Nikon B500 and especially the P1000 take much better images of moon.
Why don’t these lens testers ever photograph bikinis rather than buildings?
Can this be found on amazon
I have the Panda Binoculars and it's pretty decent.
Super explanation brother thanks

Great tutorial. I bought one.
When they advertise these items the pictures they show are not taken through the scope. They are photo shopped to give the impression that is taken through the scope. Similar ones advertised as 300x magnification which is untrue.
Nice review there cheers friend
Ty Nice reviw!!!
How can I buy this?

I assume that if you have a phone that does not have a very good camera the quality when using the scope would even be worse.

X40 is the size of the end lens - 10 x magnification; lens is 40mm in diameter.
Colin CK now I’m confused as the ad for it says “Magnification: 40x & Caliber: 60mm” ?
No lens diameter is 40mm not x40.
@Jay Bailes worth 13 usd
if X40 means the lens is 40mm then wtf is the 60? do you not know how binoculars/monoculars/ spotting scopes are measured? the first number is always the magnification and the second is always the objective lens (the larger further away lens) size. the 40 may be the size of the ocular lens (the one you put your eye up to) but they are advertising is as 40x zoom.
I zoomed on my phone while watching this and I entered another dimension.
If you take a picture will the circle come with the pic?
i will trevel the world with this
I was a little unclear on the test procedure. I was getting the impression that the zooming was as stated in video from the phone. Is that correct that zooming was the phones internal zoom and not the scopes zoom from the small knob on top? I have seen a couple of similar but not identical monocular scopes of this class. Summer coming on fast, I thought I would see what the UA-cam had in the way of torture tests. Thanks for the look at the Panda.
Rick Ramo yeah the zoom is because of the phone. The knob on the top only focuses the image. Unless you buy a monocular or binocular with a magnification range, the knobs will only act as a focus wheel. if you want higher magnification I recommend getting also a bigger objective lens or also called aperture. too little of an aperture will not let enough light in meaning your image will be dark. A good starting point is 10x by 42mm or 8x by 42mm. the numbers with the X next to it is magnification and the number was millimeters next to it is it the size of the objective lens aka aperture (not the side you look through).
Rick Ramo you can look on Amazon for some cheap and decent Brands but you get what you pay for. for serious activities I recommend Nikon. but they can be in the hundreds. try searching Bushnell. I started off with a pair and they work Wonderful
Helle Stephen Fabiano I had wondered about this design as a cheap addon for phone captures. I have had a cheap pair of Bushnell rubber armored since the 70's, They finally rotted out inside. I found out the Bushnell lifetime warranty replacement was about five bucks more expensive than to go buy a new 10x50 armored. But, I figured that would be the case. I think I got my fifty bucks out of them. They lasted through two enlistments and two ex's the last with destructive nephews. I will look at some of the mid level spotting scopes. No rush, I do not expect any sort of close encounter moments in the near future. And I am certainly not taking the trip to volcano park any time soon. Have a great day.
which is country making sir?
Good !
Next time add 10x Phone zoom to comparison: Standard(1x), Phone(10x), Scope(40x), Scope(40x) + Phone(10x) = 400x zoom
Are you Peter Sellers?
When you do a video, it would zoom in further than a pic. I have a zoom lens, and I get further zoom when in video mode.

What is the diameter of its objective lens and its magnification really?
Field optics are notoriously expensive. The problem I think with all smartphone cameras are they were never designed to be magnified.
