Defenitely gave me winner vibes. I LOVE how they didn't use a piano and how they took a different turn from the music video. Vocals were flawless as usual, staging looks very classy and impactful. Juries will eat this up and with a 2nd/3rd place from televoters, I see this as a winner. Now who says this is like Arcade?
This is the winner. 100% no doubt about it. Some songs just have that winner vibe, usually there's one of those every year, sometimes 2. And sometimes there's no clear winner and everyone ends up dissapointed their favorite didn't win. But it's a clear victory here, i mean, you can't argue with goosebumps.
Omg from what I’ve heard and seen so far this really has winner potential. He seems to have done something which totally surprised everyone and will stick out from the rest 🇨🇭🏆😱
I think everyone was worried they would play it safe and stick Gjon behind a piano with some nice LEDs, and then the meaning and impact of the song would be dulled by such safe choices. Switzerland said "He'll no!" to safe and made a bold choice with the staging and I think it will pay off in dividends.
From the first time I listened to this song I shed a tear and knew this was my winner because this was the last entry I listened to this year. I never changed my mind and I'm so happy that so many more people now started to think the same as me
The song already is #1 in the My Eurovision Scoreboard App community top since it was released and now it's been elevated, of course it's a potential winner. I got the Equinox vibes as well and also the prop reminded me of Le Corbusier's work (famous architect which was Swiss), very clever reference from Sacha.
Alesia, I am delighted to see that your comments are so positive. I would love this to do well and I was hoping he wouldn’t sit at a piano. I don’t get why so many people think this is like Arcade. they are both touching songs but I find them both very different.
The funniest part is people getting something completely different from what they expected "Arcade 2.0", "french version of arcade with piano" ha😂🤣 I love Gjon and tout l univers Hope it wins 🤩
I mean... I want a country that has never won before to win. But low-key Switzerland qualifies for the "hasn't won in a long enough time" status to actually win and still make me happy.
I never understood why people were expecting him to be sitting behind a piano, a song like this doesn't suit that. This staging looks great, I've been predicting this to win from the beginning so I would kinda like it to. It'll be top 3 at minimum
It's a smart move to get rid of the piano to avoid any resembles to Arcade. This year is so competitive. I remember I think netta was in top of the betting odds with around of 35% chance to win. Now France has around 18% only!
He said he and Duncan had a different way of presenting themselves on stage. I really liked it! It's closing in on Malta as well. France actually dropped to 17%
@@sannev8407 I think everything will be more clear when Italy and France will have a rehearsal and maybe we'll understand where the wind blows. From live performances that I saw of Gjon, he seemed to be less charismatic then the other contenders. But maybe he'll prove me wrong.
Gjon's Tears added movement to his performance. It feels like a Sergei Lazarev style staging but Gjon's Tears is pulling off much better. I hate to admit it, but he has more chances to win now. This is the difference between 3rd place and 1st place *hint hint*.
This song is in my top 5 this year and here is what I think about the staging: Long story short, it is good but not amazing. The positives: Obviously, the vocal. The prop is really nice, the backdrop is interesting. The negatives: Unlike you, I don't like the dancing. It just doesn't go well with the song. Having him sing his heart out on the prop would be much more effective than giving him choreographed movement. Also, that purple lighting was so random. They have committed to a black/white look which is good but that purple light coming out of nowhere distracts and doesn't go with the whole atmosphere. If the backdrop was cosmic then maybe but now, it doesn't gel in with the performance. And this is probably only a personal opinion but I don't like what he's wearing. It seems like they were trying to mix some design with casual clothes and it all just looks mismatched. With that said, it is not affected negatively and will FOR SURE qualify, but I don't think the staging is the best it could've been. Will it win? Maybe. And song-wise it deserves it so much but staging-wise it's not amazing.
The second rehearsals clip were uploaded and the video starts with him making rap moves. Now it feels like everyone is making fun of it and calling it awful. It has also taken one of the most negative shifts in the odds during rehearsals I have ever seen.. being matched @25 to win on betfair right now. I have to admit, I am not a fan of those weird rap movements at all and I wish he would tone these done. The rest does look good imo and he does sound amazing.
He's been the winner from the start. Victoria's staging sounds awesome and she sounded great as well but, that last mumbling part is dire, it ruins the song for me.
The short rehearsal clips seem to be controversial... and they’re not well-received by the fandom. Do you really believe Switzerland is still a contender?
Alesia, I can understand your excitement about the Swiss entry and I agree, this is a beautiful song with an impressive, classy performance. But I do not think, it will win, I guess, people are going to vote massively for a party anthem, a good bob, and this year we have some very strong ones with impressive staging too and good live vocals. I can imagine people after the whole lockdowns and the Covid depressions are going for a fan, up tempo anthem. So only out of these reasons I dare to predict no first place for favourites like France, Switzerland or Bulgaria. But who knows? Well, let's see what's gonna happen, it is gonna be exciting and a very good ESC year
Yes Switzerland is propably the winner, but we have to wait for France. And we have to wait and see second rehearsals on TV monitors. I think ebu will release the clips. But for now Switzerland can win. Also I really like your jacket. You look great.
Can we all agree that she's one of the best Eurovision reactors/bloggers out there and she actually knows what she's talking about?
Wow! Appreciate you :-)
I think Switzerland is the most likely to snatch the crown at the moment.

I think Gjon's Tears will keep us entertained, and to me, a worthy winner!

Loic 2.0 then
OK, so people always find something or the other to compare , ok....😐

I googled Eraserhead and now I have nightmares, thanks :P :D Still pretty exited to see Switzerlands performance soon!
The pressroom votes of today gave Switzerland 79 points and Bulgaria 70
