  • Mexico is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and yet I hear so many people that are afraid to travel there, simply because they heard one or two negative stories about this amazing country. I’m here to tell you that it’s one of the most amazing places on Earth. Just like anywhere else, there are some places that are best to avoid. However, if you’re looking for a wonderful place to visit, don’t be afraid… travel to Mexico and fall in love.

    Merida is a really special place if you can handle the heat and humidity. I am grateful for the privilege of being able to live here. Agree, very safe. The wonderful people here are very kind and tolerant of my crazy Spanish. I am aiming for fluency, but it's a journey! I tell them "Vuelve el año que viene y mi español será mejor." The people who have worked on my house have all been lovely and fun and dedicated to their craft. You are SO right. Be kind, smile, tell a bad joke in Spanish, have ice cold cokes. You will make many friends. Excellent video. Travel is ALWAYS a good investment.

      I've heard many positive things, especially from @TangerineTravels about Queretaro, but I (unfortunately) have yet to visit. I can't verify the other stuff, but I absolutely love Mexico overall!

    I'm so glad this video came up on my feed. I've been watching videos about Mexico for at least a year and finally pulled the trigger and purchased a flight to Queretaro. No one wants to travel with me for all the reasons you mentioned, so I will be traveling alone. The closer I get to my departure date, I'm getting nervous because of all of the negative feedback I've received for wanting to go to Mexico.. mainly that it's dangerous. I truly want to see other parts of the world and experience other cultures. Seeing this video has boosted my confidence back up. I will not let fear keep me from experiencing life to the fullest. Thank you!

      You bet, Ann! I'm so happy you found it too, and (though I've never been) I've heard a lot of really positive things about Queretaro. If you're looking to get a bit more familiar with the city, check out "Tangerine Travels" ( ua-cam.com/users/TangerineTravels ) - I believe the host currently lives there, but they have several videos about the city and his experiences. Good luck and enjoy your adventure!

    Hey Alex, interesting video. Many times we live feeling afraid about everything and that doesn't allow us to be happy and follow our dreams. Some times it is because of what we see in the media, which is not always quite true.
    Be smart, not afraid!!! ✌️

    Alexander just so you know , Monterrey is the third largest city in Mexico and its an industrial hub. There is the biggest KIA factory in the world, if you like beer, beers like XX lager and Bohemia brands are brewed there and its an sprawling metropolis the its sorrounded with mountains and , it is also considered the Houston of Mexico in terms of healthcare. You know without trying to offend anyone but I really dont get why a lot of people have misconceptions of other places or are ignorant when its the 21st century and the information is one click of a button and its free . And yes I do agree with Twain !

      Gorge, I appreciate your comment, but I just plead ignorance (and/naivety) on this one. I've heard a few random things about Monterrey from people who have visited, but without going there myself, I just don't know. Seriously though, more than appreciate your comment, and welcome more of them!

      Air quality is terrible.

    • @AlexanderFromKC
      @AlexanderFromKC  2 роки тому

      @@tdgdbs1 try Progreso, or one of the cities along the coast if you don't like the air quality in Merida. That being said they are about to launch a program with electric buses, and if it does 1/4 of what it's done for Denver I think this comment will not age well.
