William Patrick Corgan is a true artist with Passion, Heart and Soul.... you came to this World with a Great Mission, help people to go thru our sad and dark days with Strengh and Hope....Thank you WPC for giving us your Wonderful Music !!
This track brings me to tears, I'm an empath and in turn an emotional musician and I've just quit working mainstream jobs in construction and I'm pursuing music (writing originals and playing covers on the streets and subways of toronto) if and only for my heart and soul to either wake up again or die for good...billy thank you for your voice and your mind and the availability of your vids...what you say to us the public matters and is needed...at least by me brother...please don't ever stop just being you and the journey that is your time here amongst our collective reality
I wish you the best on your journey brother. The music is our only friend until the end. It means more than anything its what feeds our soul dont ever give up my friend.
A lot of Catholic themes in your music. I am a redhead from Philadelphia. Had to go through private school for 12 years and I survive that shit just love you music from when I was in six grade listening to smashing pumlkins
I tend to feel a song before listening to its words. The beauty awakens within me is almost too much to bear. The cain isn't able to build a superstar line is brilliant. Woe to those who don't have the heart to appreciate WPCs heart and genius
Nada melhor do que o próprio tempo para amadurecer o coração das pessoas, seus pensamentos, sua visão de mundo. Corgan demonstra isso com o Ogilala. Obrigado

If Mr. Corgan reads this: 1+2=3 The day Bowie died I was editing a short movie called “Dark Star”. Only later did I learn that in his last or second-to-last single, Blackstar: “Something happened on the day he died...” Now I learn he was “with you” as you wrote thi. It’s hard to be oh, so clear but it’s clearly as big as the universe.
I wish you sang it all in falsetto. Really vulnerable and shy. The songs would profit from it - IN MY OPINION that is of course. The falsetto parts in this song sound like Thom Yorke. That's a compliment of course
SadPeterPan1977, if I'm not mistaken... the No Alternative version was James screaming at the end. Billy sang at the end of the [2012 Mix] released on the Pisces Iscariot Deluxe album. You can hear Billy laughing , apparently due to the fact he couldn't get his voice that high.

oh look, a story... In an impulsive reaction I was rather dismissive of the new album by Billy Corgan or William Patrick Corgan as it states on the cover of the album (which is a joke by the way and not an attempt at pretentiousness as I have seen some accuse and p/wonder) because it's not what I wanted, I wanted loud guitars, I wanted a band dynamic, and I wanted aggression, pure and simple...but after listening to a few interviews and listening to the album again as well as a handful of new live performances I understand where it has come from ad so I was wrong to be so dismissive about it. I once participated in an open forum Facebook chat with Billy that he had with fans a number of years ago and he actually addressed me personally and we discussed a comment I made that was about fair weather fans and how if you truly love what an artist does then you should be able to grow as they grow or your not really a fan and probably really weren't to begin with (there's a difference in an artist broadening their creative wings and one that just put's out a terrible product which you can discern if you're a diehard, IMO, of any artist or band) and I always have with Billy and The The Smashing Pumpkins up until their last album (Monuments to an Elegy) which again, I was dismissive of because I never really gave it a chance because it was different and not what I wanted. Upon a second listen, this album is beautiful, gorgeous sounding even, it's just that it wasn't what I expected and really who am I to expect anything, because it's not up to me to decide what his heart and soul lead him to! As an artist, either lyrically or instrumentally no one has had an impact on me (outside of The Cure that is because they are equal in the same terms, I like a lot of bands but none have had an effect on me like these two bands have) whether it be emotionally or inspirationally as Billy Corgan, his words, his music, as well as his personality have helped me in times of crisis, kept me happy when I was up, and definitely shaped me into the musician I have become and it was only because I was into it, I was and still am a diehard fan. Whether it's something everyone knows, like the guitar part at the beginning of "Today", the strains of the orchestra in "Tonight Tonight" or the not often heard epic 30 minute jam that melts my face every single time I hear it known as "Gossamer", I love it all so as a fan and as musician who has grown and is certainly not the same as I was I am kinda dumbfounded that I reacted this way initially...do me a favor, doesn't have to be The Pumpkins could be anything you genuinely like but whatever it is, whether it be some vinyl, mp3's, even an 8-track, whatever, put it on and enjoy it (I listened to Iggy Pop's "The Idiot" today for the first time and loved it) GO LISTEN TO SOME MUSIC BECAUSE IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOR THE BETTER I remember the wife and I having a conversation early on in our relationship (way, way before we were married, probably in the first few months but hey, I knew day one) and it was one of those conversations where you know you are meant to be with the person you are talking to forever but it was something along the lines of how we could not fathom how anyone could not have music in their lives and believe me, those types of people do exist and still some twenty years later, I still don't get it...
One of the most beautiful pieces he has ever written... a harmonic poetry of goosebumps..........
Lmao
There are goosebumps on the goosebumpsszszzzzz
Ogilala is one of the most beautiful and moving albums I've ever listened to.
William, thank you.

Great description... music for our dark times...
Been here since the beginning

Awesome Bowie tribute. Lovely album.
I adore this, this piano and vocals are sublime xxxx
Haters going to hate. Billy is a real musician.
I tend to feel a song before listening to its words. The beauty awakens within me is almost too much to bear. The cain isn't able to build a superstar line is brilliant. Woe to those who don't have the heart to appreciate WPCs heart and genius
Singing better than ever.
Hauntingly beautiful

The start kind of sounds like Blank page - also another awesome song.
I love this album cover
its so fucking cool and aesthetic
Beautiful William! Probably the best song on the album thus far, it just pushed out Aeronaut for the #1 spot in my mind anyway.
Love this!
Can't stop listening to this one. Sounds amazing.

(Sorry for any errors, this is the best I could find)
I foraged 'neath the darkest deeps
But why?
I've coughed into the sparkling breach
Oh but on the line
Hosanna's heart
Not be so lost as I
But life keeps up running
Faster than your scars
And Cain isn't able to build a superstar
Oh, I carry back your love to win
I carry back your love to win
I've caved an impasse making [?]
For sky
I've shattered a promised after peak
Oh, yet Anodyne
No canyon curse
Not after [?]
Like mine
And life keeps up running
Faster than your scars
And Cain isn't able to build a superstar
Oh I'll carry back your love to win
Oh I'll carry back your love
To win

Your a talent Billy
Saying hello ❤
Beautiful strange
Exquisite
I love the fact that his voice has not drastically changed or matured over the years. He is 51 now and still sounds as he did in the 90's.
Again...I love you William...please come to Charlotte so I can see you in person..please...
I love you
Something insane
bravo
💙
🙌
amazing sound..
please colab with frusciante ;)
This song remind me another one "Deer Tick - Goodbye, Dear Friend (Sons of Anarchy)"
Корган в своем стиле велик!!!!!!
Its a tribute to Bowie, and its beautiful
If Mr. Corgan reads this: 1+2=3

If you want a great Billy falsetto (and song) then do a search for "Glynis no alternative" and wait for it towards the end.
I think you need to listen to that again. The falseto sounds almost exactly like the live version. James is just doing the oooooo, yeah parts
I was thinking this sounds a lot lot Curtains-era John Frusciante
Anyone notice the piano intro is nearly identicle as the one on Aeronaut? Both great songs!
Cool
Billy
That's so pretty
this should have been the first single...what were you thinking william ? :)
spaniards is pretty great tho...
FIRST! Great song.
