I also never understand the stuff we in the uk will through in the scrap bucket shame you couldn't take some of the stuff home . GL&HH keep the videos coming.

hello, Buttons, round bales, buckles .... cuddles for some and finds for others! I am also in the second category ^^ I think you have had a good trip! and that your stay in Europpe went well! bye
Hello Beau Awesome video, that horseshoe you picked up at 8:28 looks like a Guildhall horseshoe it's about 700 years old. I can't believe there were musket balls and buttons in that rubbish bucket If i found them I would have never thrown them away..crazy. I live in Wales and I always use the term mucka. I hope I can meet you one day Happy hunting!
Blackbird95 I thought the same thing.doesnt make sense why they'd throw that stuff away. My ancestors are from Wales btw. I'm a Jones. I bet there's not many Jones's there ,huh? Lol. I hope to visit someday.
Nettles have a sharp sting if handled but can be made into beer, however drunk in small amounts as it has diuretic effects, keep of the fungus. Keep smiling. Bbg.
Hi Beau, wish I'd known you were here in Blighty. I'm prob not only person to mention this but here in the UK we only have one venomous snake worth worrying about and that's the Adder, which is usually found on heathland or forests.
Hey Beau! ‘Mucka’ is a northern English colloquialism. Means friend. I think it comes from ‘mucking buddy’ or ‘mucker’ shortened to ‘mucka’. I think. I’m from Manchester and it’s used quite a bit there.
i concur with danny a mucker was half of a face working team the digger dug and the mucker removed the ore or coal to either a belt or more often a donkey or pony pulled wagon
i have no doubt about the usages you mention ~ i was referring to the original etymology of the word which may go as far back as the early Cornish tin miners
Right let's have a stab at this then :D Mucka = mucker = makker ( Dutch ) = moat ( Flemmish ) = mate in English. Or, mucka = mokke = Flemmish for a hot babe ( Works in Beau's case ;-)
that was no magic mushroom but very similar. It should have been dark purple inside and a pointed tip. and the name is liberty cap or in my country (norway) we call them flein. love your videos, I have learned most of the metal detector skills from you. thanks.
You are on my Detectival video saying don't forget to hold your breath :) , haha I was camping and it was not too bad that night they were more like escorted back as they could not walk :), I saw lots of iron laying on top not a good detectorist , those were stinging nettles give you a itchy blister , that is so funny when Neil broke the spade , our highlight of the w/e was meeting our Favourite Americans and the buzz of the camp best wishes :)
Every dry stone wall building or castle has coins in them to denote when that part was first built and again whenever it's 're built its a stone worker thing for old tech good luck!
im from Wiltshire England... the fields there are 60%flint, 30% chalk...and 10% soil. lol. They have been ploughed for hundreds of years. And have not been wooded in the last few hundred years :)
Re-burying that metal object really won't make a difference if it's a field that gets plowed every year. It has probably been plowed up many times and it'll just get plowed up again even if it gets re-buried. I agree it's better to take it out, though.
Back in the day the women and children would be out there I'm the fields collecting all those flint stones as they were the flint knappers not the fellas! Interesting fact hey! Hope you have a good time here in the UK.
as far as plowing is concerned in this rocky soil in the ancient times they would do it by hand just shoveling or howing it over also the individual plots were a lot smaller not as huge as today and mostly for personal use so no big commercial farming as today's fields just small plots to feed the residents (and slaves in case of a Roman villa)
Is Detectival by invite only? Looks like many UA-cam sensations were there from across the globe. I've never even heard of it, let alone seen any ads for it through the various detecting forums I frequent.
Hmm, I'll bet you're right. He must have been in several places like Dawn was. Here she says her and Beau were in Shropshire on the border of Wales. (press on link) -----> ua-cam.com/video/7Hf_yLeF1ec/v-deo.html
So gutted I didn't get to pop over to detectival to meet you, mucka is quite a common expression in my part of England which isn't far from where you were .. You get used to the jokes eventually lol
Oh hey. It's Dr. Tones. I need to go catch up on his channel. He detects some pretty interesting sites. Like abandoned frontier homesteads way off the beaten path.
there's only three types of snakes in britain, the adder, grass snake and slow worm....nothing to worry about...the badger is the most vicious animal in the country....and onky a female with young.

That you didn't understand and how you didn't understand the jokes, was far funnier than the actual jokes were.

Question? Did you know the location of this dig. Ever thought to google earth the fields, see the shadows in the land or is that cheating?
Nettles have a sharp sting if handled but can be made into beer, however drunk in small amounts as it has diuretic effects, keep of the fungus. Keep smiling. Bbg.

i concur with danny a mucker was half of a face working team the digger dug and the mucker removed the ore or coal to either a belt or more often a donkey or pony pulled wagon
It is also used in the more rural parts of Southern England as a greeting and also Army slang to address fellow low-ranking soldiers.
i have no doubt about the usages you mention ~ i was referring to the original etymology of the word which may go as far back as the early Cornish tin miners
Someone you muck about with
Right let's have a stab at this then :D Mucka = mucker = makker ( Dutch ) = moat ( Flemmish ) = mate in English. Or, mucka = mokke = Flemmish for a hot babe ( Works in Beau's case ;-)
So, what does mucka mean? And what does grow well in rocks? So many questions.
motorpike and side carp! haa
Your muckers are your mates, your friends. 'Alright mucker?' means 'are you ok mate?'

One of my best finds is a musket ball. Why would you throw them away? Its nuts.
I think I got more excited about the stone wall than any thing else, But then I'm a lifelong rock lover.
Every dry stone wall building or castle has coins in them to denote when that part was first built and again whenever it's 're built its a stone worker thing for old tech good luck!
What a shame you did not find much but I'm glad you had a good time ... better luck next time...x

Yes it can. Gold tones sound like pop tops.

If I'm correct some farmers use rocks to keep from a lot of erosion
Funny video!! More so at the end!!
im from Wiltshire England... the fields there are 60%flint, 30% chalk...and 10% soil. lol. They have been ploughed for hundreds of years. And have not been wooded in the last few hundred years :)

@1:16 Zach Galifianakis detecting between two ferns...
Re-burying that metal object really won't make a difference if it's a field that gets plowed every year. It has probably been plowed up many times and it'll just get plowed up again even if it gets re-buried. I agree it's better to take it out, though.
I am in LOVE with her hair!
Mucka in the U.K. means friend someone you'd muck around with/play with.
Back in the day the women and children would be out there I'm the fields collecting all those flint stones as they were the flint knappers not the fellas! Interesting fact hey! Hope you have a good time here in the UK.
as far as plowing is concerned in this rocky soil in the ancient times they would do it by hand just shoveling or howing it over also the individual plots were a lot smaller not as huge as today and mostly for personal use so no big commercial farming as today's fields

I'm Welsh but live in Northern Ireland, never heard mucker in Wales but in Northern Ireland i hear it all the time. It's basically Friend.
Wow, I think he was in Shropshire. Too bad you're not in Wales you would have been pretty close.
No, I think he was in Oxfordshire.
Hmm, I'll bet you're right. He must have been in several places like Dawn was. Here she says her and Beau were in Shropshire on the border of Wales. (press on link) ----->

Where is the solo searcher? You should have been there with the Chigg!
Figured out why you didn't find much. You took the U. S. version of the AT Max and not the International version.
Nice good Find from Germany 😉

Oh hey. It's Dr. Tones. I need to go catch up on his channel. He detects some pretty interesting sites. Like abandoned frontier homesteads way off the beaten path.
They're more earthy brown with a black underside.
