- This video is of my daughter and I out for a picnic in our Nissan Primastar campervan. I will be selling it on eBay in a few days (probably w/b 28th July 2014).
This is the ideal vehicle for touring and camping. It has 240V electrics with hook-up via an external connection box and an RCD consumer unit for safety. There are 3 x 12v sockets, 2 x double 240V sockets and 2 x USB sockets in the rear. The 120A/h leisure battery has plenty of power for all your 12v gadgets.
The sink is fed via a submersible electric pump and has fresh and waste water tanks which are easily accessible from the rear doors. Under the sink is a slide out toilet which is also easily accessible for filling and emptying. Lots of storage space in the cupboards and lockers. The stow away table can be put up in seconds and seats 4 people comfortably at meal times.
The swivel seats form part of the bed thereby freeing up the rear space so the porta-potti type toilet can
be used at night, there is also a slide out privacy screen for the sink/toilet area. A Zig unit controls the
mains and 12v electric systems and has a separate output for the fridge. The whole van has been fully
insulated with SuperQuilt insulation and carpet lined. It also comes with a set of thermal window blinds.
The van drives like a car and can be used as an everyday vehicle, it even fits in my garage. The 2.0L
diesel engine with its six speed gearbox is economical to run and still has the power to overtake up hills! It is also fully registered as a Motor Caravan on the V5 document so normal van speed restriction don't apply.
*That 'Slider-door' for toilet privacy IS BRILLIANT!* (It takes up almost no space, and is simple to use for 'private functions')
*I see there is also an 'outside access' to remove the cassette for emptying so you don't have to move it around inside where any spillage would mean disaster*

Nice conversion. I like the sink and gas going along the back window. Yes, like the others have said, the beds do look uncomfortable but I guess you don't know until you've tried them. Thanks for showing your conversion.

great little van. I love the red and white trim, and that sliding porta potti idea is just genius.
I think I would have to do something with the bed arrangement though. It looks flat - like a roller coaster is flat! There are a number of options you could consider: pop top roof bed, or change the seats for flat back fold flat ones like Ford and VW do in their Multivan concepts. And yes, I'd want a cooker, even if it's just a canister hob.

I have to agree with the many comments about the sleeping setup, it doesn't look like you will get a comfortable nights sleep. I would also have gone with a thicker material for the curtains. But each to their own. Good luck, have fun.
I liked the way you fitted the portaloo , very nifty, I have just converted one but couldn't figure out how to get a bog in it!

Terrible sleeping arrangement. It makes the terrific work on the rest of the van an absolute waste. Its more like a rolling office! Plenty of sockets for your printer, copier, coffee machine and computer!

only thing missing to be perfect is a shower and a matress topper for that terribly uncomfortable sleeping area and a solar panel.

Everyone who says the bed arrangement doesn't look very comfy are of course correct, but it wasn't meant to be for long term camping just a day van with the option of sleeping over night.

nice setup and the best of all is the economy of this vehicle if is a diesel easyle get 47mpg my is a renoult traffic 08 in mexico but is same buddy style 1.9 dci turbo I'm actually going to take it to the usa California to do yhe set up where I live the best car I ever own ... never seen one in the usa

Hi, its 2019 now and I guess u sold it. Please be honest, the seats did not look like they were even or straight. Did u ever really sleep in them? How was the sleeping experience? Thank u
loved the video and the layout of your van. How much did it cost to convert. I'm currently using a vw t25.

The beds don't work! The hump in the join would play havoc and even more so trying to lie down on your side. No hot water and really not enough capacity anyway, so is it camp site washrooms? If so restricts where you stay compared to wild and adds cost. It's a day can really and on that basis a nice conversion. (Apart from the colour of those seats!!!!)

at least put some piece of wood on the seats to make the surface even... looks uncomfortably. Also, why people like to carry their toilet beside the cooker is a mystery to me... Do you want to use it, when your partner is in the van. No thanks. Get rid of the toilet. Otherwise it looks nice and more like an office or an emergency sleep over.

Yes it is a Short Wheel Base, it was my personal challenge to fit everything in such a confined space.

, I would rather just buy a Ford E-150 and use an army cot and or an air mattress. much more room. all the other stuff can be purchased after market, toilet, water containers, pump, power, solar, all.

Sorry mate worst conversion I've seen might as well have a mattress on the floor( you would get a better sleep) and the toilet might as well shit in a bucket .Hope it never cost you more than 4K otherwise you've been ripped
