Kelly is a good actress. Tbh Bey ain’t a horrible actress. Her Etta James portrayal had promise. I think her persona as a singer/pop star overshadows any role that she’s taken. People can’t separate bey from the character she tries to portray. It’s not a reflection on her acting but of her impact
I agree. She’s not the worst actress. I think she did a good job in some of her roles. Her portrayal in dreamgirls wasn’t bad at all. I agree that her Etta portrayal was decent. There are some other roles that could have been better. But like you said, she’s Beyoncé. It’s hard to see her as anything else other than the star. Especially the star that many love to hate. So critiques of her performance is always more detailed and extreme in comparison to other artists.
