Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is the updated sequel to Granblue Fantasy Versus (GBVS), developed by Arc System Works (ArcSys) and released initially back in 2020. Taking place in the popular Granblue Fantasy universe, this 2.5D fighting game is known for its Skybound Arts, which are specials that have a cooldown timer, and features a wide array of popular Granblue characters including Gran, Katalina, Lancelot, Charlotta Fenia, Metera, Narmaya, Zooey, and more. It has come to my attention that in this video my editor used a voice clip from a UA-camr without getting permission from them first. This wasn’t something I was aware of and assumed it to be a generic meme/soundbyte. We’ve removed the voice clip from this video and reached out the the UA-camr to let them know what happened. So this is mostly speculation from an on/off FG player but I feel like old school players love granblue and dislike strive, yet granblue is much easier to play.
probably because old heads have different expectations of the GG series.
Despite how neutral look like a guessing game in older gg title, it still reward a person with good fundamentals extremely well, yes, even in the XX era. And this game rewards you for having good fundamental.
For me, strive is just full of moment that doesn't feel *snappy*, i actually love the wall break mechanic and drift RC, but what happen after the wall break is extremely hard to time, i just can't tell when I can actually press a button, and actions feel like I'm under water. Another problem is anti air, strive anti air is strong, but so boring
And the ranking for the floor is kinda busted, i got into strive october last year and it took me 4 hours on the tower to reach celestial, after that the play level is so random, you can't tell if you are fighting a good player or a person who is not thinking. GBVS tho I'm at S and S+ after 80 hours play time.
Also a misconception ablout older GG is that it's hard to play. No. The combos are so easy, you go from P to H to 2D, and now you got oki. It's hard to master, not hard to play.

2. Chracters in granblue has more overrall creative kits. While Strive does have some unique characters (Bridget, A.B.A, Jack-o, Asuka, Bedman, HC) most are pretty unispired, especially when coming from Xrd, Blazblue, and PlusR.
