They knew exactly what they were doing in this scene. The music slowing down, roar of the 4A-GE, the dialogue, everything was executed to perfection. Initial D is the most rewatchable thing I've ever seen in my life. I go around youtube watching these scenes all the time and they never get boring. This scene is my favorite from MF Ghost. They know how hype can be made.

Manga is now going kinda crazy but the first parts of MFG story are kinda like a love letter to the fans of Initial D. Anime is doing it even better since it's animated, supported by godly soundtrack and has more small details to spice things more. Not sure if I'm gonna watch it till the end but the first arc is definitely worth watching.

When I first watched that episode and saw Kanata perform that 4 wheel drift that really reminded me of Takumi. But when Fumihiro had the flashbacks, then I dropped a single tear
God damn seeing this makes me cry and proud of Takumi, from mister lack of knowledge about cars to a h*ll of a teacher, you really overdid it again Takumi 😂
Started watching the entire initial D series just to better understand mf ghost and the series in general, and gotta say, takumi definitely still has the upper hand, he practically SCRAPES that wall, he gets within like 2cm from it, although I will say that this guy seems to make decisions faster
Words can not describe how i feel. Understand that initial-d is my most favorite anime of ALL time. I watched it 14 times. I finished the 1st season again this weekend. I have very, very deep emotional connection to initial-d. Seeing this made me tear up... this is just too powerful.
I just binge watched initial d for the third time and just last week, i found out about mf ghost... when this scene popped up, i acted the very same way Fumihiro did, same facial expression haha... Can't wait for season 2
