- Paula White is a famous prosperity teacher. Recently, Mrs. White was given a position on the White House staff. In this video, I examine some of the teachings of the Word of Faith leader.

The majority of this analysis is by Dr. Michael Horton.
"Priscilla instructed the learned Apollos, Lois and Eunice taught Timothy, and Phoebe is named as an overseer and a deacon in the church at Cenchrea. Furthermore, believers are enjoined to teach and to learn from one another, without reference to gender."
The Bible doesn't clearly state unequivocally that women shouldn't be overseers, and 1 Timothy was written in the context of Jewish culture, where women weren't allowed to be leaders. Paul does say that it is a noble thing to desire to be an overseer. I believe that if God did not want women to be leaders, He would have stated it emphatically and leave no room for doubt.
I am not saying that these women teach the Truth or not. That's not my point, my point is what I've made above.
I stand to be corrected and I am here to learn and find Truth.
And if Paul's words, which I believe were his own suggestions to a church established in a Jewish culture of men being leaders mostly, were to be taken as absolute, then Timothy and Paul himself were unqualified to be overseers or deacons because they were not married and had no children as at when 1 Timothy was written.
Again, I am here to learn and I seek Truth

Your absolutist argument makes me question the authenticity of those writings attributed to Paul--many of which are believed by (male) Bible scholars NOT to have been written by Paul anyway! Jesus had and spoke with many female followers, some of them not even Jewish, including after his resurrection. I don't recall any of Jesus's quotations in the Bible tearing down women, but rather speaking up for and protecting them. You're like the guys who caught the woman in adultery and wanted to stone her to death according to the law.

I believe in the Body of Christ disciplining it’s members. What I don’t believe in is Christians talking like those who don’t know Jesus. What has happened to the Love of Jesus? When we act like the world, we are no better than the ones we are being critical of.
@@jdm643 simple answer is that there are many "christians" that aren't real Christian's. Christianity isn't just a title. The term Christian means a follower of Christ. Many people call themselves Christian but don't follow Christ. He said you will know my children by there fruit and there love. If they don't show love they've never met me. The truth is this. They aren't Christian's and they need to repent and get changed inside. Many so called "Christian's" aren't even filled with the holy spirit. Many of them are just religious. They have no power or authority. They have never seen someone healed by their prayers. No condemnation because we are all growing but I'm just using that as a point. If you've never gotten someone healed it doesn't mean your not a Christian. But my point is if you are one you will have some kind of fruit. Your character atleast will show it. I don't know anything about Paula white but regardless of what she's doing ore done slandering people and condemning them is not the way is Jesus. John 3:17 says Jesus came in the world not to condemn it but to save it. When Jesus says do not judge lest ye be judged. The Greek means do not condemn. In other words the same judgment and condemnation and unrighteous judgment you use against others comes back on your own head. Other scriptures support this. Jesus later says judge righteously. Which means being able to discern things like right and wrong correctly, through God's eyes of mercy and Grace and love. I'd suggest everybody that doesn't know God's love to repent and come to him he loves you.

But I know what you’re talking about people who claim to be Christians but their actions say otherwise. Christianity is so much more than a “get out of hell free card”. These so-called evangelists who get people saved with no follow up to get them into a good church where they can be taught the things about a true relationship with Jesus and studying the scripture and praying, well these evangelists are just leaving them to the wolves of satan. When I was a new Christian Joel Olsteen and Todd white and elevation church is what i feasted on youtube. Eventually I found more sound doctrine from the elders in my church and videos like this. I pray the President if he is a new convert will find his way too. We should be praying for all people in leadership roles. Not for their prosperity but for God to lead them to glorify Him
I had a similar experience as a new Christian, listening to Jim and Tammy Bakker and others, but as I matured in Christ those "preachers and teachers" soon sent up red flags. I agree with you, we ought to pray that our President matures in Christ and increases in discernment and that he will pull away from Paula White and others who "advise" him now. It can happen.

They're told by the prosperity preachers they lack the faith or have sinned in their life. That's why God has not answered your prayers but just keep giving and having more faith and work to be perfect and you will have a breakthrough. Because unfortunately many of the followers of the prosperity Gospel are looking for things of this world. paying no attention to the concerns of their own spiritual needs.

I would add that people who say that once you get saved, if you sin you will be condemned and go to hell. Clearly, they don't read their Bible from cover to cover. I'd like to know how they would explain 1 John 1:9, and the verse that says there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. When they push gullible people to have more faith, that it's their own fault their prayers aren't answered, that is such crock because they shouldn't be placing these burdens on people. You hit the nail on the head... I fell into that trap some years ago with Kenneth Copeland. And then I started listening really close. And things just wasn't lining up. Churches these days are not like it was when I was growing up. I was born in 1956 same years is Paula White was born. And there was a time you can step outside your door and you knew it was Sunday. You did not have to look at a calendar to know what day it was. That's how much things have changed. And I can keep going on but I want to cut it short.

I do not hear a greater understanding of God or worship that honors Adonai.

Although 1 Corinthians 14:24 does say that women should be silent and it's clear that she cannot be a pastor, as I read it, it only means when the church is assembled in a group. You don’t have to be sorry for that feeling. The Holy Spirit gives you the fear of God that she obviously does not have. The tongues she speaks does not agree with the Holy Spirit in you. It is done ‘in the flesh’ or directly by satan. It is NOT done according to the Scriptures. If she knew the Bible - she would know that.
