Yeah she is really lucky for that. My parents always say that thats my p*rn collection and there is no way I can display them in the living room. I dont have a single hentai figure. They are all normal ones😢
What's interesting to me is that she can recall a lot of info like what company produced the figures yet occasionally forget the name/origin of the character. I'm quite the opposite, I know the name/origin of all my characters and quite a bit more beyond that, but barring a few(and the easy case in terms of 1/4 bunnies), I can't tell you what company my figures are from. I roughly have an idea from which companies I have figures from overall, but which is which... I don't know.
Mine think it's a waste of time if I say they cost more than like $20 bucks. I feel that They kind of get it more if I said they hand painted it and key phrases like that make it sound better but still
ngl, i am a game artist in training who has to live in a small room in a shared flat with her boyfriend and you don't know how much your videos mean to me - i don't have a lot of money and every time i get a bit of money, i spend it on prize figures (which i honestly don't have enough space to fit here) and just seeing your beautfiul room with all these amazing figures just makes me so anticipated to finally get a job and money, so i can also make my space look like yours one day. I struggle with depression and i sometimes lose the fun of collecting dolls/figures because i kinda forget the reason why but everytime i see you unbox a grail figure and i see the beauty of your room in the background, i just feel so much happier and excited to continue with both collecting dolls and...well, living - because seeing you bascially life the live i wish to have someday, i feel so inspired to work hard and make sure, that my room one day will look as cool as yours! :D ... okey, hope that wasn't weird, i just wanted to thank you for simply...being here and share your collection with us :D

Also loved your art prints, especially the Erina one hehe. Definitely gonna take inspiration from you put some art prints behind some of my figures. Hello. My first thought was, wow, this girl could really pull off an Anne of Green Gables cosplay! Oh yeah, this a collector's video. I was a prolific collector in the 1990s, up until the early 2000s. My focus was garage kits. I've used Buyee for a few purchases but I've largely retired from collecting. I was buying from Yahoo Japan auctions by just dealing directly with the sellers and paying with international money orders. You have a great collection and it's nicely displayed. My collection is mostly still boxed up but I do have a display cabinet of the garage kits that I assembled and painted. (lol, just read you are Canadian. You MUST cosplay as Anne! Nippon Animation version. Yeah, no one will know who you are because of the generation gap but I would still enjoy it. I'm an old guy now)

Outstanding collection. Im in school to be a machinist and as an almost machinist, if you ever design parts that need to be machined please please come talk to some of us first. our teachers were showing us prints for parts designed by other students in engineering and the solid models were completely useless there were a ton of overlapping lines, and lines not connecting, and geometry that cant exist in real life. and their designs were so obviously trying to hard to be aesthetic and not effective or easy to use or maintainable. i know this rant is super off topic but if there is any chance you do end up working with machinists please come talk to us. we aren't just button mashers. but yea that collection put me through a roller-coaster of emotions. some of them are sooo cool and some of them i would legit no joke die of embarrassment if anyone saw me on the same planet with them.
Box storage has to be the hardest aspect of collecting for me. So many boxes are unnecessarily huge. And you can't flatten them or junk them. So yeah, they just end up becoming a wall.
Damn 40k!? I have a small collection of like 17 figures standing in my Rudsta cabinet. My latest figure is the Yoko Littner bare leg bunny figure and she's GORGEOUS! :D Had her pre-ordered last year september and came in last week. My most expensive figure is the Prison School Meiko Shiraki catsuit figure. I have her pretty cheap compared to most aftermarket prices. Its not mint condition but its actually a steal for the state its in. Currently got 1 figure on pre-order which comes out next year. Its the Blue Archive Asuna Ichinose bunny figure sitting on a gambling table. Cant wait! I kinda want to extend my Evangelion collection aswell, only got 1 Rei and Asuka figure. But I cant help myself and probably order couple of figures lol. Need another Rudsta probably. PS I see you got some DF stuff but not the DF Kelly bunny figure? :o I got that one but I know zero about her and that serie, just loved the figure itself :)

I calculated how much my collection is worth for insurance purposes, which is quite a bit. I then calculated how much the floor space their shelf/cabin resides upon is worth and that ended up being the biggest cost by a wide margin. And per traditional values, real estate is a good place to put money so I'm doing the right thing I guess? This might vary depending on location, as housing price differ greatly from place to place. But never forget the cost of space.
@@justanoman6497 I haven't even thought of calculating how much space is being taken by displaying my collection. I would have to add all the space used to store boxes as well. One of my other hobbies is playing music. I probably could have used all the space and money spent on anime to build a music studio by now. 🤔

Great Collection! Working on getting my figures displayed better. For the corner detolf, you should be able to redo the door so the it opens the other way.
You definitely need moducases, they will make your collection look so much better. And since u don’t have big statues, the sixth scale modu cases would fit you perfectly, they have a white case if you want it to pop out better. Also keeps the dust out and the led strip lights it comes with makes it soo much better to enjoy.

The thing that's kept me from buying anime figures is because I like to either be casual or 110% with stuff with little inbetween other than the obvious price ranges I always see clear shelves for anime figures but I think being an artist I'd want to make little diorama art pieces to sit behind many of the figures or make little scenes per anime and I'd hate trying to categorize random figures . But I do LOVE the idea of trying to stick with a handful of series and game figures and having them categorized seperate
ha! I remember selling my Maka figure for like 250 or something like that a while ago. Needed the money for something :/ Same for my perfect Roberta - 1/6 - Chimamire ver. figure. It was a really rare piece b/c most ended up with either some sort manufacture issue or something was brokem. Mine however had 0 issues. Oh how I miss those 2 figures. Be careful storing those boxes in the addict. They may end up how do I say, fugly. xD One more thing to note, on your Joker figure. Be weary of him. I had a Nyaruko figure from Max Factory that after idk, 8 years of being on display decided to randomly snap at the rod. She wasn't leaning or anything. This happened either in 2021 or 2022. Just flat out snapped. Which makes me weary of my Strike Witches figures from Alter that have been on display since like 2013.
Nothing wrong with being a slow collector!! 💗🐢 it usually brings more joy that way, less impulsive purchases, and you can wait to find the bestest deals on them. It’s a win win imo!!

Yeah I remember trying to put one together for the first time. It took me like 1.5 hours

@@brett103 yeah once you understand how to sort of tilt/slide the glass into place it becomes much easier.

I am genuinely confused: Why keep the Boxes? It's a thing in miniature painting aswell to keep the boxes but i never understood why (am keeping tho)

She wasn't leaning or anything. This happened either in 2021 or 2022. Just flat out snapped. Which makes me weary of my Strike Witches figures from Alter that have been on display since like 2013.

Nothing wrong with being a slow collector!! 💗🐢 it usually brings more joy that way, less impulsive purchases, and you can wait to find the bestest deals on them. It’s a win win imo!!
@@__v_e_r..1948 I have been collecting bigger pieces now from Prime 1, Figurama, Sideshow. Those pieces can run over a thousand with shipping. I wish I could have a large collection but I also have a mortgage, car payment, grad school fees, and other mid-30s adult responsibilities 😭
