Bucharest Zoo Romania

Established in 1955 as a form of a service of the Communal Household Section of the People's Council that housed various birds and animals exhibited in the past in other parks of the capital and transformed into a zoo proper only in 1962, Baneasa Zoo is currently recognized as the most beautiful and diversified Zoo in Romania, it houses no less than 115 species of animals, reptiles, birds, insects and fish, some of them, unfortunately, on the verge of extinction. In order to offer a unique and pleasant experience to visitors, the latest improvements brought to the Bucharest Băneasa Zoo have made it possible for the animals to be accommodated in much better conditions than in the past, larger cages and large play areas.
