Maybe you haven't given much thought to how wheelchair users see and experience the world.
As an adult living with Spina Bifida, I have started to use a wheelchair on more occasions as my mobility has changed as I've started to get "older".
In the past few decades, accessibility has come a long way, but that's not to say that things are easy. People using wheelchairs still
face many obstacles that few think about and some might not be obvious.
Access to buildings, stores, workplaces, societal/attitude issues as it relates to disabilities and funding are just some of the issues faced by many adults living with a disability.
This video (and a number of subsequent videos) will give you a glimpse into how the world looks, from a wheelchair.

Chase the Journey began as a personal blog of Jonathon Hyjek, to document his own accounts of living life as a person with Spina Bifida who also follows Jesus. Do you ever get incredulous looks when you stand up out of your wheelchair and start taking it apart?

I'm overly sensitive of that. I try to avoid getting out of the chair as much as I can when I'm out. I haven't noticed anything obvious, but most of the time my wife gets the chair out for me because she's faster. Lol. Although...I am waiting for ignorant comments. I've got responses already planned out. 🤣
