I cannot even tell you how much this song is resting in my mind. I lost my beloved Harley on October 6, 2022. He was sick for two years but excellent medications kept him alive and almost like a puppy for two more years. The morning he died, he was so restless and finally fell asleep beside me on my old nightgown which he used to carry around for comfort. He knew he was leaving me for the Rainbow Bridge and 26 minutes later he signed for the last time. Thank you for your song.
I always think of this songs when I think of my grandpa and grandma, I wish I had just 5 minutes of conversation with them to just go back and tell them I loved them. When both of them died, I was 11 and 13 and I was too scared to be near my grandfather cause he had a breathing tube and my grandma was malnutritious so she wasn't herself. I just want them to now I never stop thinking about then

I wish I had five more minutes with my Dad. I would like to ask him about his childhood. How was it living with his mother being Scottish and all about her father. So many questions. I told him constantly that I loved him in his last 18 month’s. We knew cancer would take him from us. Lung cancer is a terrible way to go. 2 rounds of chemotherapy and one of radiation therapy just takes a body apart from the insides out. I love you Daddy.❤❤ Enjoy your talks with God.

To hold him, tell him what an amazing boy he was, give him his favorite scratches.. I would live every second of those 5 minutes like each one was an eternity and it still wouldn't be enough..
my eighth grade reading teacher saved my life. she has taught me how to love myself and has been there through absolutely everything - from my cousin's suicide attempt to when my anxiety was at its worst to now, just days away from sixteen months without a panic attack. i'm going into junior year when this summer is over, and i still talk to her every single day. she's the first ever adult i've come out to as queer and has truly given me the confidence to be comfortable in who i am. she's retiring at the end of next year, which means i'll have to go through my senior year knowing that her classroom isn't *her* classroom anymore and that it got handed to the next teacher that comes in. august 24th is our last first day together, and i'm going to try to make the most of this school year. but, no matter what i do, i know i'll always be left wanting "five more minutes."
