- We picked up our brand new Forest River R-Pod 192 on May 29. This coach has a murphy bed, camp side dinette, bathroom with shower, convention microwave/oven, separate fridge and freeze, and outdoor kitchen. Also, this small travel trailer is lightweight (under 4000lbs) and is just a little over 22 feet long.
This is a tour of what it looks like after bringing it home from the factory (on the inside, anyway). I am spending the week doing some basic updates for storage, bathroom, shelves, etc. Now we also need a name for her/him.

Love your travel trailer! I too traded in plane trips for road trips, hotels for dispersed camping!
Now that I've traded it in, I don't think I want to go back? It's way better to have your own bed every night.

I had gone through a list and gambit of choices including one of the R-pods or putting a slide in on my truck, but as it turns out the most my truck would hold or pull was about 1300lbs. The R-pods are really nice, they have a lot of good setups for small spaces. I ended up buying a short bus, right price at the right time. Looking forward to see the inside updates you do, regardless of the type it can always inspire or give me ides on the bus build.

It MSRPs at $25k USD. You can get them new for about $18-20k depending on dealership.

I have a 2021 on order, of all the research and other you tube videos I've watched, you are the first to show that the mattress is in two pieces. Does it have to be? Or can I replace it with a one piece?
We replaced it with a one piece. It doesn't fold up as easily and you may want to invest in another latch. Also, the short queen one piece fits better, but we went with the residential.
Love the tour and I noticed your Jeep out the front window! I was curious how does it handle with the Jeep Gladiator?
It tows really well! We have the Overland with max tow package, so it's rated to about 6000lbs. Our dry weight + stuff inside the trailer + water is about 4600-1800lbs. So we're under our 80/20 rule. We do use a Reese Sway Bar system -- which I highly recommend.

@@jclarkj6 We use a Reese Sway bar kit but no weigh distribution hitch. Under 5k lbs the WDH (with our truck - Jeep Gladiator) doesn't really do much. But I highly suggest the sway bar and hitch. This is the one we have: amzn.to/3SDFOng

We will be towing with a Toyota 4Runner. Should be fine.
Enjoyed the walk around and this one checks most of our boxes. I have a few questions though. Can you talk about the shower, the surround is not a plastic one but appears to be the same wall covering as the rest of the bathroom, so how has that held up? The Murphy bed mattress that's included, is it memory foam, is it comfortable? Finally, the moisture in the trailer; do those bags and the small dehumidifier keep it dry? Would you have any other suggestions keeping the humidity/moisture down?

The stock matress is crap. Not memory foam. The dehumidifier and bags do just fine for us. We went through one bag every two days in 95 percent humidity in KY. Other than that, about 6 days each plus the dehumidifier filled us daily.
What do you like most about your 192?
