- WALK in Old Delhi/Narrow lanes of Old Delhi|पुरानी दिल्ली की तंग गलियाँ
In Old Delhi's anarchic tangle lie lanes named after ancient crafts and trades: Sui Walan, the tailor's lane, Phatak Teliyan, the oil presser's alley, Kinari Bazar, the border or brocade market, Galli Jootewali, the cobblers street, Choodiwalan, the bangle makers' quarters, and Kasaabpura, where the butchers plied their trade. Artisans, traders and workers lived, worked and sold their wares here.
These streets once rang with an earthy, flavoursome and idiomatic dialect of Urdu called the karkhandari zubaan. As the name indicates, this was the dialect of those who worked in karkhanas or factories, but embraced a wide set of worker communities.

Thanks CB S for your keen interest. There are many food joints on street corners. Most of these prepare traditional food, which is quite tasty. Nowadays Paranthe Wali Gali is becoming quite famous.
Nowadays I am in England and you will lot of stuff to be recorded here. But before coming here, I made few videos of Delhi, which are yet to be uploaded. Tomorrow I will upload, one captured in Bazar Chitli Qabar, in Jama Masjid Area. That is even better than what you watched in the current episode. So Friend, stay tuned.

Thank you very much Shiv Sharma ji for your keen interest. I really appreciate your patience for watching this lengthy episode. You are right I had to work hard to show my audience real 'Purani Dilli' Or you may call 'Old Delhi'. Since the practice with youtubers is not to speak while showing 'Walking Tours', I thought not to give my comments. Very interesting things happened while making this video. Lot of people stopped me out of curiousity. Now I realize that I should have added them in the video.
I will keep this in mind while capturing similar videos next time. However, to show Culture of 'Purani Dilli' I have made and unloaded on my channel video captured in 'Chitli Qabar' Market in Jama Masjid area. Whenever, you can spare time, please have a look at that episode also. I am certain you will like this.
I am in England nowadays and making lot of videos of Fantastic countryside here. You will see these shortly.
However, tomorrow I will be uploading video made in aeroplane while Travelling from Delhi to Abu Dhabi. That too is going to be very interesting.

Very good video of congested & narrow lanes of Old Delhi which shows interiors of gali & mohallas,shops etc. Really you must have laboured hard to make this video. It would have been better had you, in between told the names of main gallis and areas so that we would felt associated with those areas which we had been visited by us.

@@nomadlamba Most certianly till the end! In the old days when I was there, Old Delhi used to have these famous small shops, selling really great food and used to be located in one long street. Can't remember name or place but was the hustle and bustle of old Delhi in those days
