- Thank you for watching this video! In this video, I unbox and try out a Tumbler Press that my husband bought for me off of Amazon. I was so happy with the quality of the results and am excited to make a lot more tumblers. Added January 15, 2022: this heat press does amazing work on tumblers up to 20 ounces, but is too small to sublimate on 30 ounce tumblers. Also, Amazon no longer carries it, but there are a lot of options through other vendors.

Thank you for this video. What ink do you use in this video? And what setting of paper and quality? And where do you get your blank tumblers? I have the same heat press but my tumblers are dull, I use hiipoo anti uv, koala paper and Epson ET-2400
In this video, I used an Epson Ecotank 2760, Printers Jack Sub Paper and Cosmos Ink. I also have an Epson Ecotank 15000 with Hiipoo ink and love to use HTV Ront Sub Paper. Overcooking can cause colors to fade. What time and temp do you press at?

I have used a lot of sublimation papers with good success. My favorite one currently is htv ront amzn.to/3Xmezyr and I get most of my designs from Creative Fabrica. Is there a particular design you are talking about?
I have the same press. It is amazing! Your video is great for setting up this machine. I found that if I shrink wrap the tumbler, I don't get any fading spots.

No, you don't need shrink wrap in the press. At least, I've never used it in the press. Good luck with your tumblers!!!

How do you get your colors so bright
I print using premium presentation matte setting and the highest quality print. Some people use regular paper, but I always use paper specifically made for sublimation. Another thing that can dull your colors is over-cooking your number.
Did you have have to print he picture separately for tumbler?
Yes, the picture was printed on sublimation paper with sublimation ink before being pressed onto the tumbler.
Whats the other cord for?
Are you talking about the orange cord that is in the video? If so, that's my heavy duty extension cord.

@@pepperbomb45 the 2 cords in mine were the power cord and the other short one is a cord that connects the round heating element to the press itself.

Only one star on this heat press. I am nervous to get? Do you also have a tutorial on how to put special ink in printer? I have not opened my epson yet
I totally understand your concern. What I see is 1 rating with 2 stars. I ordered it to try it out knowing that I could return it to Amazon if I didn't like it. In the one review that I can see, the person was upset that the press didn't close all the way and it bends tumblers. I have seen people put so much pressure on their tumblers that they bend, and I even mentioned that in the video. I haven't seen a tumbler press that doesn't require you open it and turn the tumbler at least once - at least if doing an all over design. Before my return period ends, I'm going to try this several times and even try it on a 30 ounce tumbler. I will put those videos on UA-cam if you are interested. Thanks so much for watching!! I do have 2 videos on adding sublimation ink to 2 different Epson printers.

Hi Marilyn, what did you call the sheet of paper that you placed the tumbler in before putting it into the press? I normally use shrink wrap, but would love to find another alternative.
I just put regular printer paper around it in order to cradle it and protect the press from sublimation ink staining it. Thank you for watching!!!

The tumblers from this video came from Conde Systems (dyetrans.com). Since then, I have purchased in bulk from Alibaba.
Hello Marilyn, I just recently got this press from Alibaba. Just wondering if you still have it or had any problems with it. The supplier I got it from said it can press 11oz to 30oz. I can’t seem to get it adjusted to do my 11oz mugs. When I inquired about that, they sent me your video to watch😀. Do you have anything to add to the review since you posted this video? I love watching and listening to your videos.
That is interesting. I had no idea they even knew who I was. I bought mine through Amazon. The press did an excellent job for me for what I used it for (primarily 20 oz tumblers, which is what they advertised it for on Amazon), but I ended up buying a press that had interchangeable wraps so that I could easily do a wide variety of sizes. I can't remember if I could get it to actually close on my coffee mug or if I had to just manually hold it closed on it.

I got this on Amazon but it has been discontinued. I have videos on 2 other full sized tumbler presses that I have used and really like.
Question, I bought this exact press except it is green. When I tested the fit for my 20 ounce tumbler it leaves a large gap. I couldn't tell if you had a large gap as well. It's probably an inch or more gap.
This brand didn't come in green, but so many of them are basically the same press. This press did have about an inch gap so you have to rotate your tumbler/image. Since then, I bought a tumbler press from Alibaba that has less of a gap. I still have to rotate the tumbler or the small gap will be obvious.

What kinda printer do u need for this heat press
You need a sublimation printer to do this type of project. In my case, I took an epson ecotank printer and added sublimation ink instead of the ink that came with it.

Thanks so much!!! I originally had the link in the video, but then the press became discontinued or otherwise unavailable on Amazon so I removed it. I have a tumbler press coming that I got off of Alibaba. I will do a review of it as soon as it arrives. It has more flexibility than this press (does larger things) and cost less so I am excited to try it out!

Gorgeous! I just unboxed my first Tumbler press this weekend and I cannot get it not to ghost on the tops and bottoms- do you have any tips?!
I definitely have some tips and I am going to show them in a video really soon. It's all about the taping and I have a new way of doing it that I just discovered in the last week. I was frustrated b/c my tumbler press tumblers had ghosting at the top and the bottom, whereas my oven tumblers do not.

What’s brand is the tumbler press?

I have a question regarding your sublimation printer(s), You used the ET2760 for this project and I see you also have the ET1500, are you happy with the ET2760? I'm unable to find the ET1500 but the other is in stock at various locations. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

The only reason I got the ET15000 was so that I could print wide format prints. I got up and looked online at Staples, BestBuy, etc. every morning. I don't think this tumbler press is still available on Amazon. I also have a Sublifun tumbler press amzn.to/3DV2mKl and a Mocaru tumbler press amzn.to/40L1YrQ that I really like. I have another press that I do not like so I will not link to it.

The one I bought is showing as no longer available. I ended up buying a larger one that would do up to 30 oz tumblers. I bought it off of Alibaba and even though the shipping was high, the total price was still not too bad.

It is not intended for that and I don't know if you could get it to work on larger diameter items. I plan to try it out of wider materials though.
I just ordered some 30 ounce tumblers from Amazon:) I will let you know if the press works with them.
You can make it work with a 30 ounce tumbler, but you have to hold it shut manually. Definitely not ideal.
I uploaded a video within the last two days of me using the press for 30 ounce tumblers. It can work, but I would not buy it if you plan to do 30 ounce tumblers because you have to manually hold it closed.

Those are fuses not lights. They give extra fuses incase the one in the press goes out you have spares
