How can Lewis be a lawyer and yet be so ignorant of the law?
His emotions cloud his judgement… that’s my guess
Not ignorance. Arrogance
depression and or rage can be blinding
Lewis was always blinded by emotion and impulses with cases he wasn’t used to being a part of. His whole character in the beginning was a superstar billable guy in finance stuff so boring work. The whole show threw him outside his comfort zone. Rick Hoffman had Lewis as one of the best developments in the series.
The show needs him to be a punching bag.
Louis is one of the most interesting characters on this show. Insufferable sometimes, hilarious the next. You hate him and feel for him in the same episode in later seasons
He's the closest character to a normal human in this show

so she forgives him and drops her iron-clad suit that would have given her because he told her he was upset about something else, yet neither of them even brings up him calling her a "pathetic loser" just the night before which proves he not only has a pattern of harassment, but also can't control his emotions from insulting her which would have guaranteed her vindication and wealth. yay TV writing!

The "pathetic loser" wasn't personal, Louis would have said that to any one. That could have been Harold or Mike and Louis would have said the thing. It was the stuff that he said in the bullpen that inadvertently hit a nerve with her because of her personal situation. And he apologized for that.

The character of Lewis is meant to portray that weakness can be overcome. People can learn and grow.
How’s that when he never achieved that for himself?

Totally agree because he gets his ways all the time in the series of the suits nots fair. But he Lewis gets his ways his attitude stinks he needs to grow up and being a man
Tbh I feel for Louis. How much it hurts to see the women you love just walk away. Not saying he is justified just saying I get where he is coming from!
