[Epic Orchestral Arrangement] Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 - Severing the Chains of Fate

- Hi everyone! This is a track that was commissioned to me by Glerax, revamped with almost purely orchestral elements. It was a fun track to arrange, but also a VERY difficult one! The harmonies of it are really dense at moments, and some rhythms are really frenetic, so it was hard to transcribe those. But I'm proud of the result, and got more experienced at it! I hope you enjoy it!

@@PKM113 Second Opinion is the subtitle of the Wii remake of Under the Knife, meaning this music would be fitting for the remake of UtK 2.

This orchestration practically screams "the future of everything is in your hands, but we know you can finish off the threat for once and for all!". It sounds frantic yet triumphant, with a hint of ominous tone from the chorus.
So... yeah ^^
I just recently beat this game and I did beat all the other games in the series, and I can say Aletheia is agreeably the best final boss in the entire series, and also the hardest. You pull more defeats in this operation alone then all the operations in all the trauma center games combined and while yes that's one hell of a claim to make its very much accurate.
It isn't the most cinematic or most endearing fight in the series that would go to Trauma Team (While yes that ones surgery is not long you do have to take into consideration the amount of effort the entire team across the game has to do that manages in finally netting a actual defeat against that games main antagonist makes it a long fought, and well earned victory.) But functionally speaking this is the absolute best fight unlike the other bosses where most of them have a enduring stage 1 into a aggressive stage 2 or in Trauma Team the entire plot is overarched with it.
Here though the boss utilizes all forms of enemies that you have seen across the games and summons multiple miniature versions of those enemies as such it literally is a surgery that acts like a fight where your fighting the big bad pathogen of the game much more directly then any other game while it throws every fiend it has in its arsenal in your direction all in an attempt to stop you from taking it down all the while this plays in the background.
Aletheia is the most climactic final boss, and the most difficult. That I can agree on.
I think I still prefer Second Opinion Savato though. :p
@@gyppygirl2021 Narratively Savato is a simple but solid boss, functionally its solid. But he is treated more like a unique enemy then a boss with how simple his move set is and you can tell the narrative hyped up energy is carrying him when it should be him being there making that energy. Basically it feels like the game is hype manning him just because of his boss title.
It also doesn't help the game he was featured in lacked polish and he was infamous in Under the Knife for being unfair. They did improve that with Second Opinion but Savato suffers from being first to the operating table functionally speaking as well.
I do like Savato way more then New Bloods final boss Soma I dont hate New Blood but the narrative flow loses itself at times, and many of the surgeries feels forced because of the every episode must be a surgery principle and Soma is caught up in that paired with some of the problems Savato had but worse in some ways narratively. But I like Alethia more then Savato due to the climactic finality of it and the function of the boss being far more satisfyingly complex and more closely tied to the narrative. The boss just feels like its carrying the energy of a boss not the narrative being a hype man doing it for the sake of the title.
But I still think Trauma Team's final boss is the best just because the story is peak Trauma Center, and the boss overarches the struggle in the story which makes the boss SO much more satisfying narratively to finish and is more functionally complex then Savato.

Hey thanks! I use mostly cinematic studio series and orchestral tools Berlin series for the main orchestral sounds, while for the more "epic" percussion I used Metropolis Ark 3, mostly
