- Hey everyone! I know, it's been a long time since I posted anything. This time I'm sharing this work I made as an adaptation of "Proof of a Hero", the emblematic theme from the Monster Hunter series, re-imagined as boss battle music from the Dark Souls and Bloodborne series. Expect similar content in the future, since I'm trying to go on an specific direction in regards of the work I'll be uploading to this channel. I hope you like it!

Well it's official now, Fatalis is now a secret boss fight in Dark Souls
He's Kalameet's brother
Midir
There's like 5-7 bosses that use proof of a hero that are all more entertaining and cool than fatalis.
@@VPT2 This rendition of Proof of a Hero has the Forest and Hills theme tacked on to it. Only Fatalis has the same rendition.
I mean fatalis was originally kind of a secret boss that people in old monster hunter forums discussed whether he actually existed or not.
I just want to imagine this plays when you're not fighting a monster, but another hunter. Not just any hunter, but a hunter consumed by the malice that originated from the armor they're wearing. That's right, the armor they're wearing belongs to the scales and bones of Fatalis. In Lore for Fatalis's armor pieces there are legends that whoever wears Fatalis's armor for long enough will turn into one themself. Of course it's just a legend...but what if it turns out that it was true?
This once legendary no-named hunter, who once stood against the greatest calamity of all history became the very thing they swore to destroy. They swing their mighty greatsword that once was proof of their heroic deeds down upon any hunters they see. There is no mercy, and it will only stop until all hunters are extinct. It is our duty to put them down as this creature is not only a threat for the wildlife, but for all living beings who call themselves hunters.
...But it is also our duty to protect and preserve life. This person was once a hunter just like any of us, but now they are carrying the soul of not a hunter but a monster. They have saved countless lives with their actions, but now it is our turn to save them. Set free this hunter from its curse and finally put an end to Fatalis once and for all!
It is our turn to show our proof of a hero.
I can hear your comment being read by a MH quest narrator.
I fucking love this idea, thanks for the DnD quest XDDDD
Dude I’ve never gotten such intense chills just thinking about something this epic. Truly a poetic battle is in store here my friend.
I am an idiot. Until I read fatalis armor for the third time, I thought you were talking about Bloodborne hunters.
I wanna write a mod about this.
This sounds like what the hunters of Castle Schrade heard during their final stand
This feels so very different from normal. Right up until the last part, where the heroism breaks in, like you're starting to triumph over the evil you've been fighting.
Brilliantly done.
I like the little more triumphant and hopeful chord progression vibe at the end as it reminds you that this is still MH and not something too dark and depressing as Dark Souls
thats the part where youre 5 mins left on a hunt and the music gives you perfect dodging

Or alternatively proof of a fallen hero!

I don't need Soulsborne X Monster Hunter.
I don't need Soulsborne X Monster Hunter.

I NEEEED IT!!!
Monster Hunter is one of the original Soulsborne games in everything except world theme - and if you look deep enough into the lore, even that becomes very... From.
@@foamingkobolds6807 the Equal Dragon Weapon is very similar to what I'd expect from a Souls game
Oh absolutely! And anything involving Vaal Hazaak.

it's incredible how different a song becomes by changing instruments and the presentation
This is very fitting BMG to the final boss of sunbreak
Do you mean Gaismagorm or Primordial Malzeno?

The chosen undead steps forward through the fog to find himself atop a tower with a decayed and ruin fortress around him, below the cliff edge he noticed the remains of a kingdom that rested beneath the towers watch, bodies of large beats are strewn about city below, and large boats with strange machines attached them are crashed and caved in around the tower and the city, the castle itself has remains of what appears to be knights and soldiers wearing armor that looks dragon scales, and beasts hide. A gargantuan cannon rests in the center of the castles ruins far into the center of the tower, in the depth of the ruin the undead can see the cannons carcass sticking out. Along the almost arena like space the chosen undead stands in a large spiked lance about the size of a giant in length, fits inside of a raised platform with a lever on top, suddenly the whole tower begins to shake as to his left a series of ruins collapse as something approaches, he can feel it, it’s no ordinary beast, this is evil, wicked, full of hate and malice, it’s mere approach causes the undead pause. Suddenly the beast breaks through ruins that it laid under as it lets out an ear piercing roar, the beast was dragon like, yet larger then any dragon he had ever seen, it’s horns formed a devil like appearance of its face, it’s scales where like plates of steels wrapped in a dark shadow, it’s eyes red with crimson fury, it reared back onto its hind legs and instinctively the undead know it did so not out of a natural stance but as a mockery of him. Whatever this beast was, it despised humans and anything like it, immediately the fabrics around him began to burn as the dragons chest started to glow like a furnace igniting its fury, the chosen knew he could not escape it, he accepted his fate, and girded himself for the worse when suddenly a sound of a whip disconnecting form a metal object Echoed over head as a human like figure cladded in plates of black and red scaled metal landed in front him and blocked the blast with a shield double his own large frame, then another man, covered in heavy feathers of bright vibrants pink and blue hide, grappled onto the beasts face and slammed his gargantuan sword into its face, knocking it down back onto all fours, an explosion went off on its wings forcing it to recoil back, as a women strapped in a yellow and black hide like jacket stepped forward holding a crossbow that was double her in length and fired arrows like a cannon. The man with the shield helped the undead to his feat as all 4 stood together, ready to take on the black dragon, this was their stand, this was the chosen undead a moment, to have proof that he is indeed, the hero of Lothran.
I've seen Darkeater Midir being in the MH fanon wiki as one of the event monsters for MHW cataclysm.
This theme playing when Midir is near low health, or when it's head is broken twice would be glorious
Gaismagorm: “I like this one”
Fatalis: “I dibs first yo!”
Honestly what it feels like to fight some elder dragons really
Especially Nakarkos who's litteraly a gravelord cephalopod
I love how you threw in a bit of Fatalis’s theme near the end
Yes.
That's not a bit, its the whole second phase
It's the main theme for the whole series...
World babies
@@afilthyweeb8684That’s such a stupid and overused term. Besides, World’s been out long enough that most aren’t newbies anymore.
I imagine a very cool boss named something along the lines of "The forgotten hunter" for phase 1 and 2 and the final phase (true phase 2 with a cinematic ) "The last hero of the new world" (up to change depending on which generation it's centered)
Man, sounds so good. End game boss soundtrack 100%.
Feels like the theme of a Hunter as the final boss
Like an hunter turned into a monster, via some experiments that some dark organization is doing. A hunter you knew as legendary.
@@tbc1880or a hunter cursed by White Fatalis
The first phase is actually pretty close to what we got with Sunbreak's Proof of a Hero rendition, also thank the UA-cam algorithm god's for recommending this while I was listening to Fatalis' theme, I'm surprised this isn't far more popular it's really well made!
Proof of a Hero evolved into Proof of a Legend
It's evolving-
I have no words to describe how good this piece is at capturing the heroic energy of Proof of a Hero and the disturbing and horror of Souls.
What software did you use to bring this to life?
Reaper and Kontakt libraries!
@@AuroraAustralisMusic awesome!
2:05 - 3:08 easily the best part, that was so good
This makes me want a monster hunter x soulsborne type of event, maybe rathalos or Fatalis in elden ring or something.
Also I didn’t expect to hear the verdant hills music, that’s really cool
man oh man, this makes me crave a darker monster hunter so much more...once again. only a wish tho for it will never happen
This is insanely good and I'm surprised it doesnt have more views
Thanks :)

This piece is criminally underrated. Too little views for such an amazing work!
This has combined two of my favorite things into one. I'm gonna pre. Perfect job. I would love to hear a Dark Souls rendition of The Opened Way by Shadow of The Colossus or Gut's Theme from Berserk.
This actually sounds like a Frenzy Virus theme
1st phase being a frenzied monster,
2nd being enraged,
3rd reaching the Apex State, overcoming the virus.
Amazing how it sounds as amazing as it does. Great work!
Sounds great those legato strings are amazing, keep up the great work.
3:00 You were at my side all along... My true mentor, my guiding Sapphire Star
*remembers switch axe has a sword mode*
This was a super cool that you executed extremely well and if it’s something you’d wanna keep doing, I would love to here more music from either franchise translated into the others style like this. Great work
Absolutely incredible.
you combined 2 of my favorite series into one amazing song. glorious
If the music was physically visible, it should be next to the Mona Lisa.
I just found this out today and HOLY-
Magnus Opus good sir!
I needed a villain intro song for my D&d monster hunter campaign. I think I just found it.
3:20 Make multiple barrel roll to save his own life again crazy monster attack
Ah, dragonslaying. Knighthood's highest calling.
I just found this. Im crying. He crescendo hite and i got really emotional. Beautiful rendition indeed!!
3:10 whenyou summon a valstrax echo to tarkus solo the soul of cinders in the final fight.
Holy shit every part of this was straight up orgasmic. Absolutely adore this so I subscribed.
You should definitely do Nay! The honor is all ours
At first it sounds sad, desperate even, then it becomes full on desperate, I like to imagine that we are fighting Fatalis within our own soul, either we die and this petty excuse of a god that refused to pull its head out of its ass and look around commits omnicide, or we both die. But something changes, we punch in desperation, and the point of impact turns to powder, everything wants Fatalis gone, and in one final ass beating we dont just permanently kill Fatalis, we erase its soul from existence. We are the planet's hero, and our equipment transforms to match this.
HOLY SHIT
Thank you YT recomendations for gracing me with this Masterpeice.
YOOOOO THIS IS ACTUALLY DOPE?!
great work as always!
Velstad was just another Horn main afterall
Bruh this could perfectly be the second fase of a black dragon
If this is a new white fatali theme this will be amazing
imagine this is the "what if the hunter lost" theme
Proof of a hero is not the bosses theme. It is not the monsters theme. Proof of a hero is our theme, that the monster hears when it is weakened and the dragonator is ready.
I was worried for a moment that this wasn’t going to capture the song’s triumph. That it’d be to overpowering and oppressive. Then I got to the end, and my worries were assuaged. Make no mistake hunter, proof of a hero is our song.
This would fit so well with mh sunbreak, congrats.
A friend told me that a Souls version of bazelguese would be really cool
this is just BEAUTIFUL
You did an amazing work ! I really like it !
Still sounds a little heroic, i imagine having this play when fighting midir or a creepy end game elder dragon.
3:10
Im just imagining hearing this after so many countless tries finally getting the third phase, you gain the strength of a million souls/echoes.

Very well done and full of character. Brings together my two favorite games.
I’m gonna pull this out when I hunt during spooky season for sure.
This made my jaw drop LOL
Underrated
What do Artorias, Ludwig and a Fatalis-clad hunter have in common?
Uuuuh, lost their humanity?
becoming the very thing they swore to destroy.
And then the dragons were no more
I’m so glad I found this gem, wow great work
OH fuck this slaps hard
👍🍗🔫 Great work! Just a little bit disappointed you won't be making the OST for the next Souls game.
one of Dragon City 40K theme version 5555
Might help in my next battle
Masterpice , thnank you I will use this in Dnd:
Could you make a dark souls version of others monter hunter themes? Like the fatalis one
This shall Play at my funreal
It's impossible to make proof of a hero sound bad
Would we be allowed to use this as background music for videos?
I have no words...Great job !
Some black dragons would be fitting in a dark souls game.
If only the Fatalis armor could be a final boss with a track like this (if yk the lore then yk)
Fatalis, the dark demise OST
ohhhhh mahhhhh gawdddddd
Me when I use the Serpentslayer greatspear against Rykard
I don't know anything about music theory or composition, but this sounds very similar to the music from Folklore (PS3).
It’s criminal how little views you got on this
Lmao proud to say I loved it before it was released xD
Proof of a hero version Dragon City 40K

CURSE YOU FATALIS!!!, I HEARBY VOW, YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY!!. BEHOLD A TRUE GUILD HUNTER AND I IGON, YOUR FEARS MADE FLESH!!. SOLID OF SCALE YOU MAY BE FOUL DRAGON, BUT I SHALL RIDDLE WITH HOLES YOUR ROTTEN HIDE...WITH A HAIL OF HARPOONS!!!!, WITH EVERY LAST DROP OF MY BEING!!!!
Excuse me Senior, please...please if you can make the version of One winged angel Tango...please...its magnific how your versions of many themes...SON UNA MARAVILLA PARA MIS OIDOS

*Dark Souls / Boodborne x Monster Hunter when?!?*
Next, can you do Proof of a Hero in Red Dead Redemption style?
I know it's supposed to be imposing since a lot of dark souls' music is designed that way but as someone that's played monster hunter, it just lacks _something_ and I'm not quite sure what
That’s funny cause it isn’t what your supposed to be hearing during mh, its what you hear while fighting a dark souls boss. As a dark souls player this sounds mega good for dark souls but I can agree that for MH it missed something
Well yeah, the idea was to make it sound like Dark Souls music while using the melodies and motifs from the original
OI WHY YOU HAVE SMALL VIEWS
It's so annoying that every single track in dark souls, especially now, uses the exact same instrumentation, thus making them all incredibly generic
this isnt proof of a hero... it's "failure of a hero".
I would like something more dark souls and less bloodborne
I needed a villain intro song for my D&d monster hunter campaign. I think I just found it.
