I did this on accident with purslane. I usually allow it to grow a bit before I cut it because it's beneficial and edible. I was able to use a lot of it this time around so I tossed it in a few flower pots to use as a mulch and keep the soil moist. Now it's turned into a living mulch. Actually looks pretty good and keeps the soil under it wet, even in this desert climate.
@@annakilifa331 Tbh, that's the first time I see that propagation could be achieved after you cut off node part from the leaf of a succulent. This is extremely useful to know, many thanks to the author.
@@zombiecat7799 yeah i think not all varieties can do this. If you damage the bumps on a jade it wont work..never hurts to try it ..i have on a few and they just turned brown and shrivelled up. Theres aloe videos chopping up and thats false.too but theres a special way but needs to have part of stem.
My dad taught me how to propagate cacti like this. Within a few days he came back to 50 new cacti all over the backyard and regretted teaching me immediately 😂 Edit: im not a cacti expert. I can try to help but if you want more info google or youtube is a better choice lol. I just know from watching my dad
@@jiaher07 dont water ur cacti too often, theyre desert plants. i watered mine once a week to once every other week, depending on if it rained/weather/season. i actually try to bring my cacti inside when it rains cuz the rain in vancouver is very strong for my plant babies
They are such beautiful plants.I've grown them and loved them for years .I will be trying this as I've never had any luck in rooting a leaf .Great film !
Hi, here’s dropping by from Hadal Blue to say that you are simply AMAZING. Thanks for sharing it was a beautiful video! Keep it up. I love the last pot, its so beautiful!
We absolutely love your videos and would love for you to share your tips. Where is the best place to put succulent leaves when propagating? Thank You 😊
Can I ask what the yellow fertilizer is that you’re using for your succulents? It seems like it’s really giving your succulents to boost!!❤️❤️ Loved your video!!
@ShericaLoveheart they will absolutely grow without the extra help, as long as the leaves have been cleanly broken off from the stem. you can just lay them on top of soil and new baby succulents will grow eventually. good luck!
Sempre ouvi falar que folhas partidas ao meio, como as utilizadas no segundo processo de propagação, obtidas através do corte do primeiro, não tivessem a gema de brotação e por tanto não gerassem novas mudas. Interessante o processo e como vocês fazem.
I've managed to get several babes after I removed first ones for planting and left the leaf alone. But getting new babes after cutting off that part of the leaf - yeah, that was shocking revelation for me, and I think that knowledge will prove to be quite useful in my future propagation attempts.
Hey thanks for this beautiful video. Do you keep the new leaves in full sun all the time? Do you water only once after transplant? Is the soil normal organic soil or cactus soil? At the beginning it looks like normal organic soil but then later all the little stones appear. Thanks again, beautiful creative work.
I use cactus soil and keep the new leaves in indirect sunlight, after they have their own root, I'll let them in partial sun. Water when you see the soil completely dry

养多肉时间是最好的见证,急不得,要有很好的耐心,它就会给你带来惊喜!很赞
I never knew u can propagate leaves even if u cut off the node part that's so cool
With a lot of plants, you can't. Sukkulents are a bit different from lots of other plants.
