There will never be another band like Runrig ever.God Bless them all 💖🌹🕯️🙏❤️💖😻🌹their music and songs makes shivers down my spine.💕💞❤️💖😻🌹🕯️🙏🌹Miss them.Lucky to have UTUBE.
Wonderful group, wonderful lead singer. Donnie could never be replaced. He was the voice of Runrig and gave every song a wonderful atmosphere. They were never the same after he left the group. Wish I had been at this gig. I saw them in Irvine and at Stirling at Donnie's farewell. I cried all the way home. Best voice ever with looks to match. Had a crush on him for years, still do.
I am not Scottish, and I do not speak Gallic, but I love every song that they have ever recorded. I am so glad that I got to see them in concert before they went their separate ways!
I love in the US, but still have family in Scotland, When I want to hear the heart of Scotland, I listen to this great band, and to Dougie MacLean. Many thanks to all of you.
My wife on her 40th birthday stood up on a stage in Greece in 2000 and sang Every River and Precious Years and got a standing ovation so it just goes to show how important the runrig lyrics are in life.......she had no backing music but then again being a West Coast lass she didn't need it....thank you Donnie Munro.....also as unit award leaders with Duke of Edinburgh we have both introduced Young People (often rather challenging) to Runrig music as its all about survival......along with mountains, scenery and most of all the Highland clearances.....need to educate young people about Scotland
Wow Bravo for your Brilliant Wife...and Yes indeed. A Mystical Land steeped in so much History...it's what makes us who we are today. Braveheart. ALL. 🏴💙🦢💙🏴
I saw them twice that year and never again until this year. massive regret because the atmosphere in 91 was amazing, exciting, incredible, breathtaking. in 2016 it was good
This is the most relatable thing I've heard in awhile. I really know what you mean. Why the heck is it like that? I am in Scotland for the first time right now, and I'm here because I love Runrig and therefore fell in love with Scotland too. His voice is almost always in my head while I walk around.
You lucky thing ;-} the first Gig I saw them at was in Rounday Park Leeds just a few years after this ;-] Sorry I have only just found this footage !!!!!!
will we see another band as good as these boys in our lifetime Eirling?… "shaking my head thinking"they've giving us a Ballad from their roots to the dust of the Towers ..songs in life of events not manufactured for fame and fortune I remember the gig in Inverness 1988 like it was yesterday driving 50 mile round trip in 5 inches of snow from Cromarty . We were 30 ft away unaware of the depth of the songs or their history then ,the atmosphere was incredible ,not experienced since it was so intense .we tossed the coin who was to drive back , our neighbor's twenty odd years experience in road conditions drove us home bless her. As Pink Floyd has their place in history Runrig have theirs but I'm not aware of Runrig shadow bands , I'd be happy to hear if there are !?? Shwmae ,great memories… Derek Baker (Taff)
Was there me second gig with this band will never forget we became part of history that night the union flag was lowerd and our saltire run up in houner of the best live band in the land Kings of the castle that's runrig they have sold this venue out the six times they have played it and those two original gigs broke an outdoor event record the fastest selling outdoor show in Scotland ever not bad as the press had said they would never be able to play Scotland for atleast a year after the Loch lomond Balloch gig as everyone from Scotland that wanted to see them were at Balloch 8500 went on sale sold out in 1.5 hrs such was the demand for tickets an extra night had to be quickly sorted the same again sold out in under 2 hrs
You would honour Runrig more if you wrote about them coherently with correct spelling, punctuation and grammar. Do they not deserve a decently reported event?
yup was there as well. Wonderful night. I was with my bidi in at the time and her pal. I danced they didnt. lol. And hello to my friend from the GDR....
I don't know where you managed to get this footage from but I'm so glad you did. This is taking me on a major nostalgia trip I was not lucky enough to be at this show but we have been lucky enough to see Runrig live on many occasions since a couple of years after this. The Donnie era always brings a tear to my eye his voice was just so awsome at all the shows we attended. When he first left the band we refused to accept a new voice however as the years have passed Bruce has turned out to be ok in a very different way.
Please Return one last Concert at Stirling Castle or Loch Lomond, Balloch & Dumbarton my Hame Toon. I'll even travel 500 miles from England to see You with Donnie and Brucie 👍😅 At the Edge of the World...oh I'm in my Element the day...I've not been able to listen for ages *accident with Hearing* but I'm fine now. Thanks to my Beautiful Celtic Family & Friend's from all over 👍😅🎵🧚♀️🧚🧚♀️🎵

who cares about fashion with a voice like Donnie Munros......Simon Cowell would've done loads with this voice as we didn't need x-factor or Britains got Talent in those days!!!!!
Indeed...bcs Britain really did have TALENT then ...what's happening to Musicians these days. Vibrations are too low RUNRIG highest Vibrations Wow. 🏴💙🦢💙🏴
Although Paolo Nutini I love...and he's back. Proude to be a Celt (of Irish & Scottish Parent's...think we have a touch o Viking Blood in there too sometimes 👍😅 🏴💙🦢💙🏴
Only place they don't sell out nowadays is in UK but in Europe they are bigger than ever Denmark's number 1 band got they've got got good taste to much edd shearan rubbish in uk
What??? Have you tried to get a ticket for a UK concert? We got tickets for the Black Isle in 2013 and were offered twice the price for them. Nothing for the 2018 Stirling a day after going on sale
Don't know what's happened to our British Musicians.of the late...all.on the internet instead perhaps 🤷♀️🙄😅although Paolo Nutini is back...Pure Soul Man. Being Scottish & Irish I do also enjoy some of Ed Sheeran's nice little tunes too though. His song about the futile segregation I like...bcs it's also about my Mum n Dad. 🏴💙🦢💙🏴
There will never be another band like Runrig ever.God Bless them all 💖🌹🕯️🙏❤️💖😻🌹their music and songs makes shivers down my spine.💕💞❤️💖😻🌹🕯️🙏🌹Miss them.Lucky to have UTUBE.
One of the best Scottish bands of all time love them it is a shame they are no more.
True, he really was the main part of the band.
TO EVERYONE WHO HAS COMMENTED OF SEEING THIS IN PERSON: you are killing me. I'm tearing up with longing.
I love the professional way Donnie dealt with that sudden broken string very near the end of the film. Didn't miss a beat or a word!
Andrew Jackson Stand up for Scottland! And stand up for the pure People in Greece! Greatings from East Germany! RUNRIG RULES!

The experience of Life somehow always seems so much more valuable when you hear Runrig with Donnie.
This is the most relatable thing I've heard in awhile. I really know what you mean. Why the heck is it like that?
