The big boy can take tight curves if that's what you're worrying about. The Trix Big Boy that i just bought can take curves as tight as 18″ radius. The one in the video is a BLI.
@@ginopalladini1737 Ah, OK. The curves on my layout are 22.5", so I believe a Big Boy like that could handle the curves. While I have seen two Big Boys in real life, though, I'm not sure I'd have enough room on my layout (10' x 6.67') to properly run an HO scale model.
@@Stussmeister You've Seen 2 big boys in real life!! That must of been something to see. Were you a young kid then or a teenager? What year was it when you saw that?
@@ginopalladini1737 I believe I saw my first Big Boy at Steamtown National Historical Park in the mid-2000s, when I was a teenager. That engine is #4012, and while it's only on static display, it has been cosmetically restored. It was about three years ago that I saw #4014 in a Utah station (along with Living Legend #844) as part of the Golden Spike 150th Anniversary.
That is amazing, wished i had a UP big boy
Rivarossi is making a cheep one I’ve seen it for $400 for sound
Absolutely great! You could feel that beast pulling up the helix. Certainly addressed the space conundrum...just build one layout on top of the other!
Yep, I love the Big Boy model with the passenger trains and the pacing it's going.
THIS IS AN AWESOME LAYOUT!!!! I would like to be able to have something even close to that one day. But I would prefer O SCALE.
This is such a great video. Love the pacing and long distance shots. I would love to have a chance to run on a layout like this someday.
Bella big boy y la maqueta también, tiene bonitos paisajes. ( Horizontes )
I would be wayyy to scared about that thing falling off the side of that upper level
Don't worry i'm right beside it when it's on the upper level.
Wow what a beautiful model and layout.
what an amazing setup.!!!
Nice video like and subscribed from Czech Republic 🙂👍👍👍
That thing is a beast in any scale! 😅
Reminds me of the Tehachapi Loop in California where long freight trains cross over themselves on the loops.
So beautiful, amazing
Stunning!!!!!
AS a matter of fact, this reminds me of Tehachapi Loop too. Maybe even Walt's Carolwood Pacific railroad.
Here from Chile, beautiful video and I like those backdrops landscapes, amazing.
What a trooper damn
Amazing!!! What is the radius of curve in the helix?
Instant subscribe 👍
Amazing
Man that thing is strong 15 cars up hill while turning that is shocking for an engine that big
Supervisor 👍 and lokomotiv 👍🤝
Amazing. I have no Chance runing a BB on Roco R6 Tracks.
Yes you can.
Who makes the cars? I have a Broadway Limited 4014 and 844 but I don't have the excursion cars.
Walthers

Same
Merci
@@MIGMobilidadeUltraNightBear Thank you
@@ginopalladini1737 No prob
Are the couplers metal?
Yes they are
A very nice video and layout. I have plans to expand my own HO scale layout, though I don't believe I'll have enough room for a Big Boy or a helix.

@@Stussmeister Ok... So you haven't seen 2 big boys working together, cause if that would of been the case, you'd be in your ninetys. 😆😆😆
Lol it took 4 minutes just to go up the ramp
No headlight?
The owner took it apart, and put it back together, and now the headlight works.
Rich man's hobby!
I'll stick to model airplanes!
BLI big boy ??
