FILM DESCRIPTION:
In the 19th century, a mysterious plague turns the English countryside into a war zone. No one is safe as the dead come back to life to terrorize the land. Fate leads Elizabeth Bennet (Lily James), a master of martial arts and weaponry, to join forces with Mr. Darcy (Sam Riley), a handsome but arrogant gentleman. Elizabeth can't stand Darcy, but respects his skills as a zombie killer. Casting aside their personal differences, they unite on the blood-soaked battlefield to save their country.

This movie is the sequel to game of thrones. With qyburn's science, cersei manages to extend her life, taking on new identities every century. Here, she is lady catherine, the slayer of zombies, which is a variant of the white walkers that have adapted to warmer climates.
Rumor has it that cersei herself is a half zombie, like wickham. That might explain her immortality and why her child is in poor health.
Even now, cersei prefers to rule without a man. She loves her child. With her father's wisdom in mind, she uses marriage to cement her wealth and power. She has learnt the error of her ways, selecting a foolish man as a pastor not a smart one. She fulfils her childhood dream of sword fighting.
Oh and Tywin has been resurrected.

0:41 I love how even though Elizabeth “hates” Mr. Darcy, she doesn’t want to make the promise of avoiding engagement with him.
That's because it's at this point of the story where she's beginning to love mr. Darcy. He clarified that he was actually Justified in being biased against mr. Wickham, and he saved the relationship between Jane and mr. Bingley. I'm going off of the 2004 movie timeline because I barely remember watching the zombie version.
Not to mention the accusation was false to begin with & lady Catherine was being extremely rude to her. In this movie, instead of Elizabeth telling lady Catherine off by calling out her audacity, Elizabeth proves her Grit by defeating lady Catherine's proxy. But lady Catherine was completely unjustified with barging into their house and hailing such accusations at Elizabeth, and insulting her. She was not entitled any promises or respect even if by rank she was better than Elizabeth. And thus, Elizabeth proved her resolve as a woman, and stood up for herself

@@IndomitableT in the culture of that time, people believed because they were higher in the caste system , that made them automatically better than the lower classes. It's the same in India right now, with the discrimination and harassment against the dalits. That was the whole point of Pride and the prejudice. That true love could overcome a caste system. That there actually is such thing as a poor person marrying a rich person not because the poor person needs the money but because the poor person actually loves the rich person and vice versa. That Jane wasn't dating mr. Bingley because her family is trying to get rich quick, but she actually loves him. That mr. Darcy isn't defying his family's wishes because he pities Elizabeth, but that he genuinely loves her. And that mr. Collins can't just go around telling women to marry him because he has money and serves a Dane

Lena is FAR too young and indescribably beautiful to play the odious Lady Catherine.
That's freaking TRUE and she's brillant! But yeah, Lena's role as Catherine (or any other character that had minimal amount of screentime would've done for me lol idc idk) is one of the reasons why I decided to binge watch this film, but I stayed for something entirely else though haha nevertheless it's a great adaptation.
I love this version of Lady Catherine.
I like Lady Catherine in this "Would you promise not to marry him?" "I will not." "I challenge you to a duel..." lol!

Wow. It didn't seem like she, Elizabeth, would've stood a chance against Lady Catherine's henchman, but she prevailed. Like was she says as he was chocking her and holding her up. She looks just as beautiful fighting him as she with her sister fought together against zombies at the ball in the beginning.
