This is from Maxim's prime times. I do think that Kogan is a grandmaster but Vengerov did the best job on this one. Like the best ever performance of Cantabile in my opinion. Vibrato is the key in this piece. Vengerov is using it incredibly perfect. Kogan's version does not give me this taste when it comes to vibrato as it is not as strong as in this version.

No disrespect to Mr. Vengerov but after hearing Kogan's performance, everyone else sounds mannered and childish in this wonderful piece.
