He's obviously the greatest shooter as well but everyone has at least one game in which the three just isn't falling. That being said, even in the case his 3-point record ever gets broken, Curry's combination of range and variety puts his place as all-time greatest 3 point shooter. beyond any doubt.
Curry is top 5 not only because of shooting but ball handling skills, lay up package, movement without the ball, tire less energy, does more with less and etc. All that in addition to shooting and resume makes him top 5

I know that the amount of threes and certainly the range aren't comparable but in terms of the use of their bodies to shield off defenders combined with their impressive array of finishing moves in and around the paint he reminds me so much of Nash even though Steve had a pass-first mentality. Both compensate(d) for their lack of size, strength and to a certain degree speed with incredible craftiness and intelligence. It's sometimes refreshing to see that type of player competing with the elite guys who most of the time have a great physical advantage. I'm not saying those players aren't skilled but it's an advantage nonetheless.
