Gerald Durrell (1925-1995)

Gerald Durrell made an impact in the field of conservation that few others can claim. He was a British pioneering naturalist, conservationist, author, founder of a unique animal sanctuary in Jersey, and a TV presenter. He was best known for his pioneering work in preserving endangered animal species. Durrell was also a talented artist and caricaturist.
