Nest boxes on trees? Raccoons, squirrels, rat snakes will have easy access unfortunately.

That’s what I said - it’s better to put them on a pole. But, if a tree is all you have, it is better to put it there.

I've never had snakes, squirrels, or raccoons in any nest box that I have in a tree. It most certainly _is_ better than nothing. Hopefully, you've stopped trolling people during the past 2 years. It isn't nice.
