Really liking the idea of this Fast Fix series as it's often the 'little things' that people don't know, that will keep them out of the shop. Liked this first vid , but had hoped you would say a little more about the same fix on other brands. Cheers!
Coming soon...
Awesome...thanks Steve!!

Steve, I love your video's and I've learned so much the past few days, thank you! I was wondering if you could do one on "waking up" equipment (maybe an old 020T for instance?) that's been sitting around for an unknown amount of time? Thanks again and keep the video's coming!
Good tip Steve...Thanks Bud!

Guess you haven't got one or not trained to do a stihl fs 460

Steve the Ms251 44mm Cylinder and piston is make by at least 6 manufacturers which one would you use ?
Great video, I had to sharpen my chain at the same time just because I had half a glass of Canadian whiskey left
LOL. Right on Will....
Love the hack, thanks Steve!
You`re Welcome...
I have used that tip it works thanks
Right on Dave...
Nice tip! Worked well on my old 021, with the square logo. Got curious and tried this on my brand new 261cm (made december 2019), and it didn't work. The small tabs that go into the holes where you add lubricant snapped off, and were stuck in the holes. The logo plate seems to be redesigned. Just a warning if anyone wants to try this with a newer saw! My saw is made in Germany. I live by the saying «If it ain't broken, fix it til it breaks» 😁
Good info, great another thing I need to do today.
Good luck...
Great video
Thank You...
Good One . Thanks

Right on...
Steve, help!! I have a Stihl BR600 that worked perfectly yesterday. Oil mixed with gas at 50:1-absolutely positive, NOT straight gas. Was blowing snow off driveway as done many times. Went to start today, rope won't budge, locked up. Ideas? Machine has been flawless up to now.
Good onya mate from oz great tips..
Thank You...
Steve, your the MAN dude! I never knew this about my Stihls! Awesome videos!
Thank You...
Steve, you're the best.
Thank You...

I enjoy your straight no nonsense approach Steve, thanks for taking the time to do these videos, you are a great help to those who just want to get on with it, help like yours is the same as a buddy that lends you that $50 when you really need it and if you want to drink beer while you do it, more power to you brother.
Thank You...
Very good information thank you for posting.
You're Welcome...
thank you
You're Welcome...
Thanks Steve , great tip . On some of the push mowers you can do this same thing similarly .
Right on...
Another great tip! I tell you, I now have the best running small engines.
Thank You...
That is a nice tip which I didn't know and I will try it on my Stihl saw which I can't get to crank because the rope won't come out like it should when I try to crank it. The guy at the repair shop cranked it before giving the saw to me, but when I got home and tried the same thing the rope would not come out like it should. This saw have not given me a good hour of service since owning it new. I have an old Poulan saw which have the same problem and I will try this technique on it also.
Chainsaws and beer my kinda instructor right their !
Right on...
😇thumbs up Steve thanks for sharing your knowledge I did not know this.
You're Welcome...
Yèah Mon! Thumbs up! Never knew that about the logo, thanks!
You're Welcome...
never knew that steve thanks for that tip
You're Welcome...
Ah, Great timing Steve, Was going to start a 028 last week and the starter acted a little stiff and didn't want to retract like it should! I just grabbed up my 029 and went to work. Will definitely try this out in the morning! Thanks a million and have a great day.
Right on....
Good one Steve!!
Thank You...
Ah, The trick. I'd use Silicone spray, as it doesn't attract dust like white lithium grease stuff, it's always good to have around the house for your car or anyting, hinges etc.
WD40 is a solvent, anti lube, it repells water good and cleans lubricant
Thumbs up big guy....great tip. And seeing as I own 6 Stihls , guess what Ii will be doing tomorrow morning ????? 👍👍
Right on...
Steve great videos! Could you do one on what to look out for when buying a used lawn mower or riding mower?
Thumbs up my Friend
Thank You...
Hello Steve really enjoy the channel what kind of lubricant are you using
Good Video. Being a Husky owner I would really appreciate info on that brand for this...I am sure it is not as easy as a Stihl...I am sure you are up for the challenge!
That a boy Steve O 👍😎✊
Right on...
Does this work with all/most pull starts? I have a Honda Lawnmower that’s a bit tricky. Great videos, very informative and helpful when dealing with smaller engines. 👍🏻
I'll try that on my MS170
Right on...
Champagne of beers? thanks for the info.
Great tip! I'd say this though, if you can do it with a half a can of Miller High Life, it would probably only take you maybe a quarter to a third of a can of a darker beer. Just a theory though
Thanks, now I have to test that....
Man those video inserts of you handling small parts is Steven Speilberg shit right there ! Keep up the good work. Cheers (Litterally, I have a beer in my hand)
Right on Buddy! Thank You...
Great tip . Do most other brands have a way to do this too ? I have a Husqvarna. Thanks
Not that I am aware of....
Like #50 and I know what is going to happen to my 024 tomorrow.
Right on...
I guess if it hasn't got a plug to take off then just drill a hole. Good tip thanks.
I can pull my starter rope out fully with spark plug out but not at all with the spark plug in. HELP!
Stihl fs460
1/2 a Miller means that is really easy.
Wow 222 likes and zero dislikes, congrats looks like your last video helped👍👍👍rock on!
Right on...
nice video man! steve i have a husky 141 and the amount of oil that goes to the chain in this older small huskys isnt much. all the oil system its fine. A logger told me that u can put a cap of gas on the oil tank each time i refeel it and it will increace the oil flow a bit. is there any logic on that idea? does it work? thanks
