Nice tip! Worked well on my old 021, with the square logo. Got curious and tried this on my brand new 261cm (made december 2019), and it didn't work. The small tabs that go into the holes where you add lubricant snapped off, and were stuck in the holes. The logo plate seems to be redesigned. Just a warning if anyone wants to try this with a newer saw! My saw is made in Germany. I live by the saying «If it ain't broken, fix it til it breaks» 😁

That is a nice tip which I didn't know and I will try it on my Stihl saw which I can't get to crank because the rope won't come out like it should when I try to crank it. The guy at the repair shop cranked it before giving the saw to me, but when I got home and tried the same thing the rope would not come out like it should. This saw have not given me a good hour of service since owning it new. I have an old Poulan saw which have the same problem and I will try this technique on it also.

Ah, The trick. I'd use Silicone spray, as it doesn't attract dust like white lithium grease stuff, it's always good to have around the house for your car or anyting, hinges etc.
WD40 is a solvent, anti lube, it repells water good and cleans lubricant

nice video man! steve i have a husky 141 and the amount of oil that goes to the chain in this older small huskys isnt much. all the oil system its fine. A logger told me that u can put a cap of gas on the oil tank each time i refeel it and it will increace the oil flow a bit. is there any logic on that idea? does it work? thanks
