    You can mulch the strawberry area with grass to keep insects away and then put a net cover over it to stop the birds from eating it. The flower on your Chinese cabbage means it is going to seed. So you will not be able to harvest it anymore. You can remove the flowers if you want to continue harvesting or you can leave them if you want seeds for next planting season

    Don't let your Chinese cabbage flower.. it is called " bolting". So they have peaked too quickly. Remove the flowers and pick the cabbage now. It might be oo warm for them

    Chinese cabbages are prone to bolting (flowering prematurely), especially in hot, dry weather. So in summer, keep plants well watered and shaded from midday sun. If plants do send up flower stems, remove them before the buds open and cook lightly.

    On brooding & hatching .
    Pure kienyenji can hatch twice as many as the hybrid ones.
    21 days over & the chicks has hatched, chicks are removed immediately & arrange another sets of eggs for the brooding Kienyenji to continue laying on them but the hen should be let to rear the 2nd set of chicks.

    • @jaelofthevillage
      @jaelofthevillage  Рік тому +1

      I tried this but as soon as the first set of eggs were hatched,they left the nest and wouldn't return.
