Hey Taylor! I am a 58 year old grandmother. I have wanted to become a drone pilot for a couple of years now. I figured I was too old. Thank you for inspiring me to push forward with my dream. Thank you for taking the time to encourage others!😊
Taylor, Taylor, Taylor, Thank you so much for yes, your inspirational video! I am 66 and started flying a Mavic Air 1.5 yrs ago. Strictly for enjoyment. Since then the better half and I have been contemplating starting a business with drones. I have chosen to now buy a M2ED as my first investment into starting a drone business. Your videos are so informative. You are a professional in your presentation, the information you speak on, and the ability to connect. I am so dang happy to have found your channel. I have been for a few months now, so apprehensive about starting a drone business in regard to exactly what the topic of this (your) video is. Is it too late to get started? I now feel, because of your inspirational help, to get out there and work a (my) drone business income opportunities and at the same time enjoy my semi-retired life, travelling the USA in our RV and helping those I can help with my drone business wherever we may be. I hope someday I can be in your neck of the woods to meet you and thank you personally for this video and all the others you have created. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Oh, I've subbed and will recommend to everyone that they follow you as well. Good luck to you always in any and all you do in your life.
OMG, thank you so much for the kind words:) Stuff like this really motivates me to keep going with videos. I'm always happy to help. What would you like to see next?
Taylor, first off the bat, I love your videos. You present information very clear and direct. Your videos are always very clean and professionally produced without a whole lot of rambling like the other drone channels. Your videos have motivated me to take advantage of the pandemic and the stay-at-home order to further my interest, knowledge, and curiousity for drones. I just found out that my wife got me a Protocol Vento wifi camera drone for Christmas as my first drone to play around with. Just want to get your opinion on this product, if you have one.
Thank you for the kind comments! I've never heard of that drone, but looked it up. It's ok for training and getting started. Anything past that though will require something with a better camera.
Awesome info, again! I just found your channel last week when I began prepping for the exam. Check in almost daily and have even researched some vids. Much appreciation for your perspective, sis.
"Your boat may not have even been built yet." I think this is a great analogy for the drone industry - I'm new to this all so maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like new jobs and purposes are being created for drones every day!
I just started studying for my part 107! Could we get a video about how you would create your own business? Do you have to make an LLC and get a tax ID? Thanks for the motivational words!
Could you please recommend a drone for flying wind generators? Looking to start a business. I'm flying a Mavic air 2 and looking to move up. Thanks, your videos have been great help.

I learned how to fly acro drones first. If you can do a power loop or matty flip around an obstacle with an acro drone, then you are more than qualified to fly drones for business.
Thank you so much for your insights. I just started my drone business and definitely find it challenging to get work in metro Atlanta. With that said, I’m not giving up on my goal to be a full time drone and media company.
Hey, I'm currently working for an engineering firm inspecting & mapping cell towers and just passed my part 107. Could you give some advice on how you go about doing drone work on the weekends.
Doing only weekend work can be tough. First thing, I'd check with your company to make sure they don't have a moonlighting policy. But next, I'd look around your local area and see what customers/industries you could target.
Dronero I just secured the name for my LLC with my state. Yes, I have checked out Women and Drones and plan to join. I’m watching all of your videos. I know that you are busy, but Do you have an updated website?
Get a cheap toy drone without GPS capability and fly that around your living room. If you can do that without crashing it, you can pretty much fly anything.
So I've been in oil the last 13 years and a photographer for 10. I live in the DFW area and know absolutely nothing of drones but have done my solo in a Cessna. Your videos are very inspiring!
Idk UK market very well, but from getting my part 107 years ago to my first paying gig was within a couple weeks. Building to a steady income though...tough to put a time estimate on it. A lot of factors to consider.
Your boat analogy made me smile. I lost my job a few weeks back and I'm starting from scratch right now, have my 107 scheduled for next month. Thanks for the inspirational words.
Glad you asked, You should do a video on dealing with unwanted Interference /Confrontations with public / law Enforcement while flying your drone. Ways pilots can avoid negative Interactions without escalating them / Deescalate Negative confrontations. Let me know what you think?
Great video. Just started following today. Trying to start a drone business soon, and have really gotten alot of information from your videos and plan to watch more. Keep up the good work Ma'am!
It’s 2022, and I love this video thank you still relevant to this day flying as much as possible here in Canada. I posted a few I should probably update shortly. Thank you Will follow you . can’t wait to scroll and see if you’ve done anything for 2022.

I have been studying for weeks. I am currently in a hotel room totally panicking, as my test is tomorrow morning here in Athens TN. And I’ve been watching different videos and taking practice tests. I live in TN, and there’s a huge demand where I live. I am hoping and praying I pass tomorrow!
Dronero I passed with an 87%! Now I can’t wait to watch your videos on how to grow my business. I already have 4 jobs lined up including a former titans linebacker! I would love to have a conversation with you! I also shot video of a ranch and put it on my Facebook after only a month of flying and editing and it currently has over 10,000 views! I would love to know what to do next!
Wow!!! You strait up made my day!!! All the questions I had was answered in one video. I love your passion and willingness to share information. I feel a little old (37) but I love the industry and where it’s headed. Thank you!!!

If you're using a LAANC enabled airport, then authorizations are instant, as long as you ask for altitudes within the grid maps. If you're asking for authorizations outside the grid maps, I'd give it at least a couple weeks. If you're using the drone zone it could be up to 90 days...but the wait times are SO MUCH shorter than they used to be.
@Rich A. I don't lol. I guess we have to ask people who are in the business. However, some don't really like to talk about hourly rates because it's different for every project.
I just passed my part 107 yesterday. I love your videos, very inspirational ! Quick question do you need any other certifications to be in the drone business for industrial aerial photography?
Congratulations on passing your part 107!! As far as other certifications it really depends on the client and industry you're doing the work for. The most common industrial certification I've seen is the OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. I have my OSHA 30 from previous jobs (pre-drone life) and its come in handy a few times. I wouldn't rush out and get your osha cert though until you know what direction you're going in.

As long as you can still see and move your thumbs...you're 100% NOT too old! Age is just a number in this case.
Can we get a suggestion on how to price your work (real estate, construction, industrial)
Definitely!
Be careful discussing pricing. In my industry we have had people discussing prices and they we warned that could be seen as price fixing.
Just passed my part 107 last week. This is inspiring! Thank you!
Chris Perry VI Congratulations 🎉🎈
Congratulations Chris!!! This is just the beginning of an amazing journey.
