FUN FACT: I've been braiding hair for as long as I can remember! I hope you all enjoy this video and if you are new to my channel, make sure to hit that SUBSCRIBE button!
I saw this video around May and when I decided not to do a bob with my box braids I dropped and then now wanting this style I can't find a better tutorial then this. You did such an amazing job. Don't ever stop!
I have been searching for videos showing step by step on how to grip the hair for box braids, and your video is de only one I found that shows gripping the roots in Very Slow Motion. The other videos only shows how to braid. I'm so glad I finally found your video, because it helped me sooo much.
I love your explanation on hair to braid ratios. I've been googling that phrase for hours and watched about 10 tutorials and you're the first person to explain it! thank you! I tried box braids on my own hair about 5 years ago but they were waaay too sparse. Now i know what i was doing wrong. Imma try this again weekend! and bob coz the long ones took foooooorrrrrrrreeeeeeeeevvvvvvverrrrrrrrr
thats what I am trying to do I want to learn so bad so I dont have to spend too much to do me and my daughters hair im going to do my lil girl hair tonight which I hope gose well
I'm envious that your hair has such a gorgeous natural curl, chickadee. I know that this video is very old but still... I'm using acrylic yarn to do mine by myself and still have trouble layering.
I've been braiding since I was maybe seven or eight and I've never seen this method. It's so much easier and they look much neater. Thanks for the tutorial.
Excellent Video. very detailed and easy. I haven't done a Bob braid style in a very long time. I need a refresher course and this video was it. :) Thanks again for sharing.
Use boiling hot water instead of the lighter (much safer). When dipping the braids in water make sure you use a towel around you neck (to avoid burning). You did a really good job.
This looks so clean! After I went natural it was so hard to braid my hair bc it pokes out. Even when I blow dry, I end up moisturizing which makes it revert :/
RIGHT ON TIME HUN! I've been debating braiding my hair myself for a few weeks but kept saying I don't have time for all that (I usually get them at least to bra strap length) I'm gonna try this out though...Thank you! :-*
I know how to braids I have numerous years of experience recently after lockdown I was like I think it's about time I learnt to do my own hair If I can do it on other people surely I can I have done corn rows, long medium twist,I am not a hair stylist by profession it is just the skill I learnt growing up So now I thought of this hair style I am nervously waiting for myself to start This hair style I haven't done it on anyone but I cam do Box braids, but this partucular one.... I hope I do good
OMG, you got alot of hair/head like me....lol Good thing your nails were short. I feel like it takes longer. I usually cut the hair in half and then stretch it out to save on bags of hair. Thanks for sharing. : )
@ChiziDuru I like the fact that you repeated how to install the extension to the hair for some of us that do need a little more teaching. Cause Lord knows I sometimes get confused and need to replay how it's done lol
ohh so you used 2 packs of expression ? tell me why i didn't pay attention and went to get one pack of expression. Guess who I did listen to though ? the hair store dude. He said one pack should do 😫
You can also flat braid your natural hair at the nape of your neck and let the braids fall over it if your hair is a little to long for the short braids. That's what I usually do but my hair is getting too long for that too so I'm trying crochet braids next.
I seriously wanna try braiding my own hair with weave. Im so scared it's gonna be bad tho! 🙈🙈🙈 But since I already know how to braid me and my kids' hair, how much harder can it be to add hair right?? Lol 😩🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. Love it! 😍
Your braids are beautiful, but I just wanted to say that your natural hair is SO pretty. I love it.
wow. her natural hair is gorgeous.
Krystal Favourite ikr😇
Riiiiiiight?
her natural curls are GORGEOUS😍😍
I did it!!! I can't believe it. I can't attach a pic because my phone crashed. But I did it and I learned so much from you. Thank you!!

I'm afraid of platting my own hair. I fear that I'm going to get lazy and just do 12 doodoo braids then call it a day lol this came out lovely.

Me too 😂😂
chowder125 me toooooooo😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I can't even do 2 and not die
I did my own braids the other night for first time it turnt out good but need more practice
This was probably the most concise explanation of how to secure the braiding hair to the root. Bless your heart Chizi lol

Look listen, every time i look at this video, i just marvel at how beautiful your natural hair is. Its all curly and soft looking. I love it.
I just found out that out that a straightening iron works sooooo well, better than a lighter, makes the ends look really neat and 100% easier
I've been braiding since I was maybe seven or eight and I've never seen this method. It's so much easier and they look much neater. Thanks for the tutorial.
your haircut is EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent Video.
very detailed and easy.
I haven't done a Bob braid style in a very long time.
I need a refresher course and this video was it. :)
Thanks again for sharing.
Best tutorial I've seen on this! How do you get the ends to curl under and frame your face?
that was smart girlie...and it came out really cute....thanks

hi ruby....Bob hairstyles does not require hot water else it'll get straight...
I love your hair because its naturally curly 👑💖
You did a great job!!!! The steps were easy to follow & I loved how it looks on you 😍😍😍
I am totally doing this style for spring break!! I'm not very good at braising close to the scalp but practice makes perfect!! Thanks for sharing!
Your natural hair is gaw-jus! How is it so curly? What is your hair type, what do you use in it???
This looks so clean! After I went natural it was so hard to braid my hair bc it pokes out. Even when I blow dry, I end up moisturizing which makes it revert :/
Thank you, for showing this in such a slow, detailed fashion. You made it very simple to follow. I think I can give it a shot, this weekend.
Your natural hair is beautiful and I love the way you did the hair very detailed and helpful, love the final result❤️
Thanks for the tip about doing bigger parts in the middle and then covering them again.
#GameChanger
love the way you explained each step, great job
Your natural hair is beautiful ♡♡♡♡
This is so awesome, will be watching it over to achieve the braiding method tight to my roots!!
Love your effortless video for box braids. Your finished product was beautiful.
i have been looking for a video like this for 2 yrs thank you alot
I don't know why but you remind me of Quinta from buzzfeed!
Mads Kennedy this is a very late comment but yesssssss 😂
Looks so simple, I'm sure I'll ruin it somehow-- but I really like how you showed the extension installation and I'm definitely going to try that!!
Best tutorial i've found so far!

Wow, it came out really amazing. I want to do this so bad, but I can't braid. Practice makes perfect, right?

RIGHT ON TIME HUN! I've been debating braiding my hair myself for a few weeks but kept saying I don't have time for all that (I usually get them at least to bra strap length) I'm gonna try this out though...Thank you! :-*

I neverrrr knew they were this easy omg
You did very well in explaining the braiding process. I found this video helpful. Thanks.
These braids are so neat!! Well done!
great video. impressed with your braiding skills on self Chizi.
I was concerned about your hair being so curly but it actually came out nice. I love the thickness of the braids
This helped me so much and honestly I was going to use the same exact braiding hair but I didn’t know what to do with a 82 inch into now thank you 🙌🏽
OMG, you got alot of hair/head like me....lol Good thing your nails were short. I feel like it takes longer. I usually cut the hair in half and then stretch it out to save on bags of hair. Thanks for sharing. : )
Uaauuuu eu não entendi mta coisa, mas combinou mto o cabelo curto com você!!! Que lindooo!!!
THANKS SO MUCH MY HAIR TURNED OUT GREAT
@ChiziDuru I like the fact that you repeated how to install the extension to the hair for some of us that do need a little more teaching. Cause Lord knows I sometimes get confused and need to replay how it's done lol

Chizi gained a new sub today.

Ahhh! I'm in love with your hair before the braids. It's sooo pretty! (The braids are too though) :)
Woow very nice & easy, I will try it this weekend
Woahhh these braids are so neat! Usually when I see people do them themselves it looks all knotted and just trashy but yours turned out good
the way u did it was really nice
GUYS MAKE SURE YOUR HAIR ISN'T FLAMMABLE! Awesome video Chizi :)
lol its so weird seeing you start your hair at the front...love your braids
I had to watch this like 4 times, but I finally got it. Thanks so much, Chizi!
U did a good job, your braids look so fine
you are so neat and suprisingly you are doing this all by yourself xxx all the way from england xxx
The best bob box braids I've seen so far. ( that was a tongue twister there😛)
ohh so you used 2 packs of expression ? tell me why i didn't pay attention and went to get one pack of expression. Guess who I did listen to though ? the hair store dude. He said one pack should do 😫
😂😂😂 now why he lied

You could just crochet the back, and braid the front as normal.
Very beautiful
Looks gorgeous!
I loved it, tried it on my sis and it was perfect
I'm jealous! I want a tapered just to do these fun hairstyles lol. I loved this tutorial.
+sienna robinson You dont need short hair to do this style! Check out the links in the descripition box!
Why it says video not found for the crochet bob braids
Chizi Duru 89th question
But ALSO I love the curls of your real hair. It closer to mine than any other UA-camr who says they are type 4(c)
Chizi is 4c, i think it was just curled like that from a perm rod set. 4c curls are not that big.
Love it! 😍
Looking flawless! I couldn't pull this style off myself because I have a big forehead and a sharp jawline lol but you can and you look too cute ! ☺️
You can wear a wide stretchy headband over your forehead, and slick baby hairs to make it look smaller.
Nooooo my sister, you're gooooood amen😍😍😍😍
Wow! I'm digging this style! I might do this to my hair next!
I Really Liked This Tutorial I Think Ima Try It
Beautiful hair.... I saw tight roots but in my mind I saw tight rope and began singing
You did a really good job...your braids are very neat!
Love your new hair
I'm using your technique for my hair you did great. Your technique hit bryan tx just saying.
great job, I'm trying this next month for my protective style
I like I like!!! I'll probably have to watch it a few times to get it right lol
Great demonstration, I now get it 😀
That seemed so easy...Im gonna try one day! thank you!
What was the need to feather the hair if the ends were being burnt?
+Kay Hay The braid will unravel if you don't feather the ends and it's easier to burn off a thinner braid then a thicker one
Ilove the tapered look & u slayed that bob
yasssss CHIZI IM SO GLAD YOU DID THIS I WAS WAITTTINNNG OMG
