I saw this video around May and when I decided not to do a bob with my box braids I dropped and then now wanting this style I can't find a better tutorial then this. You did such an amazing job. Don't ever stop!

I have been searching for videos showing step by step on how to grip the hair for box braids, and your video is de only one I found that shows gripping the roots in Very Slow Motion. The other videos only shows how to braid. I'm so glad I finally found your video, because it helped me sooo much.

I love your explanation on hair to braid ratios. I've been googling that phrase for hours and watched about 10 tutorials and you're the first person to explain it! thank you!
I tried box braids on my own hair about 5 years ago but they were waaay too sparse. Now i know what i was doing wrong. Imma try this again weekend! and bob coz the long ones took foooooorrrrrrrreeeeeeeeevvvvvvverrrrrrrrr

Use boiling hot water instead of the lighter (much safer). When dipping the braids in water make sure you use a towel around you neck (to avoid burning). You did a really good job.

I know how to braids I have numerous years of experience recently after lockdown I was like I think it's about time I learnt to do my own hair
If I can do it on other people surely I can
I have done corn rows, long medium twist,I am not a hair stylist by profession it is just the skill I learnt growing up
So now I thought of this hair style I am nervously waiting for myself to start
This hair style I haven't done it on anyone but I cam do Box braids, but this partucular one....
    I hope I do good

You can also flat braid your natural hair at the nape of your neck and let the braids fall over it if your hair is a little to long for the short braids. That's what I usually do but my hair is getting too long for that too so I'm trying crochet braids next.

    • @wayfaringstraanger
