getting this game tonight pal gonna get this ship to start with but if i get the hang of flying ive been looking at the freelancer package have subbed and presed the bell
Welcome to the verse! O7 Lancer is a good ship, but VERY different. They're quite cheap to rent (34k) from the orbital stations, so I'd strongly recommend renting one to try out first
I would recommend to everyone who got the money and wants to spend it on a ship to do exactly that. Its not for making some greedy company like EA even more money. Its for us to actually get a game in the end.
@@RobotSpartan yeah sure. I said it like that on purpose. I think if you recommend buying ingame then you should mention that buying with real money isnt throwing more profit at a company in this case but if were to believe Chris Roberts every penny of that goes into game development.
@@TheDude50447 I realised a while back that it would be for the best if i ignored the money aspect. It potentially puts me in the awkward position of people taking my word as advising them what to do with their money (even if I'm very much not!. Humans are fickle like that...) Also i figured it perpetuated the extremely common trope of SC costing hundreds and thousands to play. That little disclaimer at the start is sort of an attempt to quell that a little, and assuage those who are put off approaching the game as a result of that rhetoric
Reliant series has a weird thing where if you have a copilot, even if they are in Missile Operator mode or not doing anything, it takes away the remote turret from the pilot. Where as the Tana should be the perfect Pilot-gun copilot-missile ship, it takes away DPS to fly with two. Very unfortunate (Also I think they should size up the central part of the ship, give it s2 shields, and make it a Cutlass competitor but if wishes were horses beggars would ride). For in-game credits, the real competition that you overlooked is the Nomad. I think it is 950k, has an extra shield, is like 3 degrees a second less agile, huge upgrade in cargo, and can get ground vehicles. It is also a sleeper, and can surprise people in PvP and can be pretty impressive in combat. With they way that CIG massacred the Cutlass Black's flight profile, the Nomad has really been growing on me, and should not be overlooked nowadays. I guess if you've farmed up 770k, 950k is really not a stretch and you get what is (begrudgingly) a very nice multirole ship. *True as of 3.15.1* for future readers
I think the Tana being S2 shields might push it to be too strong, but until CIG finish the shield balance thats very hard to say... As for the nomad, it didn't exist when this video was made (its just copied from the old channel) but you are very correct. I'll no doubt remake all of these old videos eventually, just needed something on the channel to help kickstart it! I must say though, i kind of hate the nomad in a lot of ways, but appreciate that its a damned fine ship if buying in game
I didn't expect to love this ship as much as I do. The only ship I 'own' is the Cutty Black. Flying that thing around isn't fun at all anymore. When I bought one of these with aUEC, the whole game changed for the better.
Same gun damage, 325a has more missiles and does slightly out manoeuvre the titan, titan can take more hits and has more cargo making it more flexible. Personal choice on those tbh
As an aside, I hope your new spin off channel gets noticed. It is ridiculous for this to have 24 views right now. I love your SC content. One of like 4 subs I have lol
Aye, hope so as well. It was a risky move, but its for the right reason; every SC vid lost half the subs it gained, and the same happened with every non-sc vid. People clearly didn't like the split focus (hell, had many comments say as much!) so it can only be the right thing to do
Can't really agree with your preference of the reliant for one additional reason. Even with the buffs, a Reliant that loses a wing is heavily crippled in space and almost unflyable in atmosphere especially when trying to land as it loses all ability to maneuver in some directions.
Excellent recommendation.
Glad to know i'm not just talking bollocks :D

Theres a reason its the one ship i'll never melt.
I own bigger, and technically better ships. But just love this thing too much
What about the 325a vs titan?

Thats a very valid point i forgot to mention!
