I got this thing almost a month ago and I love it! And I did some research on it, all 3 versions are the actual real arcade versions. And on Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 you can put in secret codes to unlock Ermac, Classic Sub-Zero and Mileena. The only down fall when you unlock those 3 characters is that when you turn off the machine it erases them and then you have to load those 3 characters on again, but it's only if you want those 3 characters on there. I always put them on there cuz I like using Ermac and Classic Sub-Zero. It's the Classic Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat 1 and 2, and he has a couple of different moves and fatalities than unmasked Sub-Zero on the 3rd UMK. All of the fatalities are identical to the arcade versions on all 3 versions, and all the secret characters are to. Its all there! So if you're a fan of the original arcade versions of these games I definitely recommend buying it. It's worth every penny in my opinion!
There is a code to access the EJB menu which you can unlock the secret characters in UMK3 permanently. I have done it and they are still there even after I turn off the machine.
Or you could just build a single cabinet with a PC and run every game ever made using emulators. I do admit it’s pretty cool to have the option for an entire arcade in your house. Relatively affordable too!

If u enter the EJB code in for mk2 and umk3 u can go in a adjust volume and difficulty level which permantly saves...volume problem solved...it works AWESOME after that!!
The stock volume on mk2 and umk3 is set all the way to max...once u adjust it , it will make huge diff....thrs videos on youtube that show u exactly how to do it...on umk3 u can permantly unlock all secret characters as well...just follow the steps and make sure to go back in and enter ur initials once finished to permantly save all settings!! 😃
I was wondering if this 1up Arcade is based on the arcade versions of MK games or is it more like the 16bit home console versions of MK? Arcade versions had such better sound and graphics.
I've already pre ordered nba jam. But I did pick up mk2 for 150 new in the box off of Facebook marketplace. You could probably find a really cheap one. Hope that helps.
The Costco Mortal Kombat it's a huge upgrade better LCD , better PCB and a custom riser with an LED light up Marquee and stool. Sucks for you my friend thru that shit out

I just got the Costco MK2 bundle, and I'm seeing very low resolution/pixellated characters. Not like the smoother, more realistic characters on your screen and my MAME setup running the original arcade software. Yours is hard to tell though as it's a video of a video. But it still looks more photo realistic.
I like the design of the cabinet, but everything is a bit too small for my tastes. I'm thinking of making my own cabinet in this style but with more features and more games.

I was going to buy the Mortal Kombat Arcade 1up until I played it at my local Costco and seen that the graphics were not even close to my original Mortal Kombat Arcade machines I have, and the buttons and joysticks were way off how it's suppose to feel... But I'm still debating if I should purchase one of those little suckers just to mod it heck out of it and leave it inside the house instead of the main Game Room man cave I have lol. Depends if you are willing to wait lol. I know in certain states you can find it for $150 vs other states they don’t drop below $299. If your a fan of Mortal Kombat then it’s worth it
I just got one. Putting it together kind of sucks. You need 2 people honestly. The graphics are ok. Not great. Not terrible. The Joystick and buttons get the job done. You can always upgrade those if you want. The volume is kind of loud. A dial volume would have been much better. I know you can get in the menu files and turn the volume down. I might do that but i honestly dont want to mess up anything. It might be a tad loud but it sounds GREAT. I bought the riser. Definetly worth it. Makes the machine feel and look almost full size. $350 on the machine and the riser might be about $100 too much. $250 for the machine and riser would be alot more fair in my opinion. Overall though it looks GREAT in my game room. The gameplay and controls arent amazing but they definetly get the job done. I dont think im going to be playing this a ton. Im sure i will time to time. And if i have friends over. But that doesnt even matter. It just looks SO COOL. This was my first Arcade1up ive ever purchased and if i could do it again i would. My machine was in perfect condition and looks and plays very good. If you have $350 and want a great showpiece for a game room or living room this is worth it for sure. And if you dont like Mortal Kombat get a game that you like. Im not gonna be buying five or six arcade1ups though. I just dont have the space. But im very happy with this one. And i plan on 100% buying the Ninja Turtles one when it comes out. I heard November. I hope so! @@Sned22 impossible... arcade1ups look more pixelated.... just look at both the actual arcade and the 1up side by side...they're not identical.. MK 1 in arcade1up just look at Johnny cages shadow kick compared to the actual arcade... its different... most of the levels in MK 1 2 and 3 in 1up dont look as crisp as they do in the arcade
Joe Kokolakis You can enter the EJB Menu codes and literally run arcade machine diagnostic tests on the 1up. I just played on both an MK2 and UMK3 arcade cabinet yesterday, and played my 1up at home. It's the same. If you've got pixelation it may be. An issue with the screen. I promise you, these are damn near perfect emulators of the original arcade ROMs.

Might be because of the LCD. CRTs handle the older games better.
