I'm currently there, my first time here, I feel like there's no blue runs at all, the ones that they have are really narrow ones and you can't do much there. thanks for the video
Mayrhofen indeed has more red ski slopes than blue ones. Ski piste 11 is a nice descent. Ski slope 14 is wide but unfortunately a bit on the short side. At the Rastkogel, ski slope 63 is also an option, also many wide blue ski slopes. Have you also been to the Ahorn? There are many blue ski slopes there and they are also somewhat wider.
Love Mayrhofen. Visited January 2022. Loved everything about it. Quality runs, 11 was my favourite. Excellent accommodation, restaurants and choices of runs made it a brilliant trip. Will return 100%.

aber was ich mich wunder, es sind so wenig leute am ski fahren, die Pisten und die Lifte sind soo leer, habe in Erinnerungen das man zeitweise minuten lang warten musste bei den Liften :D haben oder machen sie auch noch videos über die Talabfahrt? @@alpencams
Der Film wurde Anfang Dezember gedreht, als das Skigebiet gerade eröffnet wurde. Auch einige Skilifte waren nicht geöffnet, etwa die Gerentbahn. Deshalb ist es dort so ruhig, was ich persönlich für eine wunderbare Zeit zum Skifahren halte 👌 In den Weihnachtsferien ist es viel geschäftiger. Welche Talabfahrt meinst du? Die von der Eggalm zur Talstation? Oder an der Ahornbahn?
I learnt to ski in 1981 in Zell am Ziller, I go to Mayrhofen in feb 25. I intend to ski for 1 day in the Zillertal for a bit of closure as I knew I would one day return to where I fell in love with skiing.
You won’t be disappointed. Excellent choice of restaurants on the main strip. Superb wine bar and a brilliant butchers shop near the Penkenbahn lift at top of the hill selling the best sandwiches contains freshly cooked meats. Enjoy. 👊
Thank you for the great video. I visited Zillertal a few years ago, skied almost all the areas (Arena, Hochzillertal/Hohfuegen, Mayrhofen, Hintertux). Maybe it is the time to repeat that again. By the way - what software you use to get all those data shown (speed, altitude etc.?) Is that camera's function or combined with the data from smartphone's gps?
Slopes short and only narrow corridors to get to move to another slope. Doesn't look like my place. People don't know how to ski, they just slide down the hill to the lift...struggle.
Wow. Your video shows that 90 % of so called slopes in Peknken are basically skiways /ski roads that normalny are only used as connectors... Thank You. There are basically no slopes there. I mean propper slopes...

During this visit I was not in Hintertux 😢 Would indeed have been a nice addition to the video. Filming Hintertux is definitely still planned! 👌😍

Was thinking about going there but it is indeed disappointing, too narrow for my taste.
