I like both persona's of Josh Tillman, and it's awesome to see how much he has changed with his music and character (most artist are too predictable). I think if he did Farther John Misty as his opening act and then cooled the crowd down with some of his old stuff that would make for a perfect show. Regardless, I'm a follower of his art.

I love this video! Not only is there one mother of a tune being perfomed, but theres the world championship of 'who can look most nonchalant whilst in the prescence of something amazing' going on in the background!

Oh man. This is great! My favorite song by Tillman! And is that Aja Pecknold? And the piano player from the Foxes? So cool. Damn. Would kill to be in an environment like this.

So beautiful. My brother and I watch your channel compulsively. Such a whimsical median to capture intimate moments with such creative minds. From J. Tillman to Jim Harrison. Thank you for giving us this window to peak in. It is so inspiring and has such a natural, living feel.

I read a lengthy article about this artist in the New Yorker, and I was moved to check out his music. Well, in fact, there are many musical styles in the art world (which is a world we visit voluntarily), and our tastes vary. His music bores me to tears. But his fans -- and the artist himself -- shouldn't and I doubt would care about my opinion as such. I wish him great success.

None of you know how good this man is. I looked down one night and said killer boots man!!!! Tillman was like WTF? haha we had the same Clarks on at the time. Long story short...he was there with Damien Jurado and Rocky Votolato, it was the best night of music in the Ballroom

I get you point my friend, and I´m completely agree with your argument, I think an artist always have the concern of innovation or explore empty musical landscapes.
My first comment only refers to the nostalgia of that cancer and delirium sound that captivate me the first time a listened to this man.
    Cheers!
ps: sorry but my english kind of sucks I guess

This was filmed whenever FF were in Paris in 2009. That's when Josh was wearing that goofy jacket like the dude from Big Lebowski. Standing behind them are Colin (Tillman and Siberian guitarist), Jason (Tillman drummer) and his pedalsteel player from 09 touring.

I was at that show man! Late Sept in Ann Arbor, right? It was amazing. Couldn't shake the smile for several days afterwards.
I heard one of the Poor Moon tunes a while back. I need to get the album. Christian and Casey's last project was one of my favorite bands for many years.

They have a couple of LPs. Blocked Numbers is my favorite of the two. It is worth checking out. It has loads of style.
Shrine/Argument was definitely a highlight moment of that show... it was like their sound became viscus. We were all swimming in it. Cool chat tin with ya man, let me know what you think about CS if you track 'em down!

I know this is late response to your comment.. But how amazing were they live!? Best show I have seen yet. Very emotional for me. Their sound wrapped around me like a warm blanket. It is saddening that Tillman left the Foxes. Are you a Crystal Skulls fan by chance?

Love this version. Haunting as hell... Going through all my fave tracks and throwing this spam up whilst I'm listening. Hate it but I'm certain Josh doesn't mind seeing as the music business is as shit as it is today. Unfortunately... But I just released my first new track after 6 months writing, posting as I mentioned only on vids that i frequently listen to myself. So check it out if ya have 5 mins! Peace and shit tons of good vibes your way

And the keyboard player is the Fleet Foxes' guy too. So that might explain it.
