This is how you can beat the Sharkbone Enemy for the Side Quest: The Fossil and the Bones
On your first visit to Allsand Island, you’ll encounter the Sharkbone, an level 40 enemy. It is absurdly overleveled compared to Mario and Luigi, when you fight it during the main story. Sharkbones can one-hit KO you with every attack, while you deal no damage at all. That is why you will have to distract them and try to not encounter them at all!
But can you defeat such a strong Enemy? If you try, you have to beat them as QUICKLY as possible, because they will run away leaving you without reward item and exp!
===============================================================
Sharkbone Enemy:
Lvl: 40
HP: ~1000
Mario & Luigi:
Lvl: 33
Total Damage dealt: 1119
Useful Plugs:
Notdroppin, Bros Boost, Performance Boost, Auto EXCELLENT, Easy-Peasy Counters

As already stated by a couple of comments: pls make sure that you equip the plug "Loot Booster" to ensure a higher chance of getting the Sharkbone Bone from this enemy.
It's useless if the Shark bones keep running away.
@@jakeblancaster8498Except you need a bone for a side quest.
The fact that they have to show a obvious dying NPC right before the area just to show that they're not messing around this time
and yet we all tried to fight these fuckers
I, of course, still went “nah I can take em!” And then died in one botched dodge attempt
Honestly having a random Superstar Saga enemy that was only somewhat dangerous return and be able to instakill if you get unlucky is hilarious.
"Tough Guy Alert!"
the fun part is doing a genocide and making all the sharkbones flee from battle so you can run around unimpeded
Oh. I have forgotten about the Enemy existing in the first game. But there are no cheep cheeps.
I foolishly fought these things when i arrived at the islands and thought it was a challenge and i did not see thier levels and got one tapped
Same, but I only fought them cuz I was interested.
I was a fool for battling them for so long instead of fleeing
same...
the NPC told us to be careful and avoid these enemies but we are gamers and what can we best? Ignoring to NPC advice about strong enemies!
@@RezyManiathey are level 40 afterall. I think the max level is like 99 or something
I went in to see why they were scary. I saw the lv. 40 and that their healthbars were hidden and I was just *NOPE* Saving you for later
I didn’t even get to attack, I accidentally jumped on one and it attacked me and did 400 damage. I was then stuck in a infinite loop because I kept dying until I got to attack.
Let’s be honest. I don’t think ANYONE took that NPC seriously.
Well don't we always ignore NPCs advice on strong enemies? I thought thats the true way of a gamer?
@ well it is. They’re normally NEVER right, which is why it wasn’t worth listening to.
Somehow I think Nintendo knew that and put that there anyways
i did i avoided them like the plague
I never tried to attack them but I accidentally stomped on one and kept on dying, I was in a infinite loop until I got to attack first then I chose flee and tried to make my way over to the oil and got surrounded by all the sharks and got stuck in the infinite loop again. I had to look up hot to get that oil.
Make sure to equip Loot Booster before getting the last hit on one of these guys. If you don't get one, I'd reset the game instead of waiting for your plugs to recharge.
Those things caused my first out of 3 game overs during my first Playthrough
pay respect for our fallen brothers & sisters during that sharkbone fight..
@@RezyManiaI kid you not I killed one using surprise iron ball on my first run through of the island and i didn't even get too much xp
you should have just fleed or something
I didnt look at the levels, just thought they're a little challenge, only noticed when mario already died
I remember these sharkbones from Mario and Luigi Super Star Saga and I was really excited to fight them until they caused my first Game Over on the second turn of the fight. 😅😅
Fyi: it’s worth killing these guys at higher levels as well; Sharkbone Bone sells for 800 coins each, and they aren’t used for anything else.
that depends. On my 100% playthrough I earned about 120.000 coins without beating Sharkbone enemies more than 3 times. Just progressing the story and defeating every enemy on your path will get you huge amounts of coins.
@@KeleuHerdley Don't forget the guy who challenges you to fight strong enemies. There's a mission for that. He wants you to fight the Sharks.
800 COINS!?
I went in with a hammer strike and luigi just DIED with the shark dealing 400!!! Damage!!! I immediately left the match when i saw their level and hidden health
The surprise iron ball plug's iron balls ignore eneny defense, or at least most of it, and stack with enemy boost, and anything that makes you hit enemies more with jump and hammer attacks
I fought them when I was warned and surprisingly lived their attacks only getting upset that they run away after awhile with my stubbornness I would have stayed until I killed them but noooo~ they gotta run away from the guy who can deflect their attacks >:(
they fear your might!
they can sense you getting stronger day by day and fear the upcoming battle against you! :D
Sharkbones are finally back, baby! :D
So in short, they aren't actually unbeatable. They CAN be killed if you're an expert at the game and know what the fuck you're doing. Aka, a challenge enemy.
If one has trouble defeating them, a higher level and new Bros Attacks always help a lot!
They are a Lvl 40 enemy in an area you enter around the lvl 22-25 range (i am not good at remembering numbers, so i could be mistaken about the level you enter this island)
@@aureliodeprimus8018 not that it would matter because, well, you would still die either. The level range is 17-19
There's actually a mission where you have to give the shark bone to the guy who challenges you to fight enemies aka monsters and the sharks are one of them.
@@ninjakombatant9722 Yeah, did that one today. The most evil part about that is the tendency of the sharks to just straight out leave after 3 rounds.
Mario and Luigi: Being undefeatable doesn’t protect you from death ☠️
just equip dizzying attack and spam hammer on both, when the plug is out of charge switch to ice attack, and when you dont have any more you can start using bros attack with bro boost if they’re not dead already
We are Nintendo, ultimate game system
The things we have to do for oil.
I would recommend doing the ball blitz starting attack since it does more damage to a single shark, and ur only going to be focusing on one
This feels like something modern Paper Mario would do ngl
actually, yeah, "unbeatable" enemies are very "paper mario", for example, anti guy. (not modern but you get the point)
I tried few days ago, around level 38 but I couldn't beat them. I only managed to defeat after getting Clockout Blow so I was able to deal around 1300 damage using only one attack
When the pnj said to ABSOLUTELY NOT GET NEAR THOSE SHARKS I didn't take him seriously and went "pff, you're not Mario and Luigi, watch and learn"
10 seconds later I understood why he said that and immediately went "nigerundayo !!!"
Broh. That gap ...
💀
This really helped!!
Thanks so much for the tip
you are welcome! glad my video could help! :)
I fought the first one I saw thinking they’d be normal enemies who maybe just did a lot of damage. I damn near shit myself when I saw they were lv40
Who didnt?
0:12 I'm level 36, and I can't still defeat these mfs without them escaping when I'm almost defeating them 💀
You can try it again once you have more bros attacks. They ran away 3 times before I could defeat them. Never give up!
@LuigiZone Update: I did defeat them by mere luck and using the Dizzing plug 😭🙏🏻
@KookieStar Congrats!!! Did you also get their item dropped??
@@RezyMania Yep! I managed to get the Bones for the side quest 😭
The very first thing when gamers heard sharkbones they think oh yeah i remembered them in Superstar Saga they are so very easy to beat i can handle them all on my own think again
Oh Thank You so much ❤❤❤
you are welcome!
What level were you?
I was at Level 33 while doing this video
I would personally wait until you're a higher level, and have access to the fourth pair of Bros. Attacks.
yes that will make everything way easier. The higher your level, the less problems you might have facing these sharkbone enemies
While my main knock to the game is luigi not using B to menu lol, i don't mind follower luigi too much. I think brothership is one of the better entries to the list. The enemies and bosses really keep you on your toes especially the change ups even sharkbones can attack faster or much slower. The animation is clean and combat is almost as fast as superstar saga. At least a 8/10 for me
They really aren’t very difficult once you learn how to dodge them. The hardest part of fighting them is defeating them before they flee. Best way that I found to prevent this was to make them dizzy. Maybe freaze works too? I’m not positiv how each stat works in battle.
there are a lot of ways to defeat them. You can create many many combinations of plug attacks to defeat them.
The quick and easy way though is leveling up and deal tons of damage with bro attacks.
Nice video bro
thank you!
They should have made them give lots of XP
Yeah true, or make their dropped item worth more than just mere 800 coin :(
Theoretically you could collect their bones and sell them for A LOT of coins. ( Farming coins so to speak )
Just a little hint..😊
But their bones only sell for 800 coins. You can earn coins way faster by using another method than by defeating sharkbone
@@RezyMania Perhaps I also wasn't specific enough about selling fish bones:
Example: Fish bones 99x = *79.200* coins ( So, yeah selling 99 fish bones at once)
Ngl i never attempted using jump helmet because i just assumed they had spikes… like im not alone in this right? Usually in this game when there is a big pointy thing on the enemies head its telling you they’re spiked and can’t jump on them but this one is different ig
Thats what I thought at first as well! But you only can't hit flying enemies with hammer bros attacks. If you try, they will swing but fail while trying..
I'm getting better and better at beating these guys but I still haven't gotten a single bone 😭
This is the next island I’m going to so what I’m going to do is watch a video and memorize there attack patterns then see how much I can level up after defeating them. Currently lvl 19
unfortunately, that won't be possible as they will withdraw from battle if you dodge their attacks for 5+ turns + you only deal 1-2 damage on your first encounter.
That is why you have to defeat them as soon as possible
Yeah... I'm going to wait until I'm at their level...
Good Luck on your way!
@@RezyMania Thanks!
Will this be a required fight?
(i'm not on that island yet)
It is a side quest
Don't worry it is only for a Side Quest. But if you are like me and aim for 100% (just don't it's quite tedious.. 😅), then go for it (run while you still can!)
I'm only joking of course. Just play it your way and have fun while doing it!
@@WizarioMusic And it's for an item that has a chance to drop. Meaning you might have to fight these things multiple times until you find one
I'm level 33 and literally did the same thing (same plugs, same attacks)
Yet I'm only doing damages that won't get over 7 or 8 with the Bomb Derby. That's kinda weird.
Was it during your first visit on Allsand Island?
@LuigiZone Nope, it was on my god damn 5th visit.
They are the 2nd worst enemy (following spinys) in my opinion
spinys are definitely some aweful enemies..
so what I’m seeing is “don’t get hit”
you have to defeat them as fast as you can because they will just withdraw from battle after you evade their attacks for 5+ turns
THEY KEEP ON FLEEING😔
they will flee if you evade their attacks around 5+ times, so you have to hit them with only stunning or bros attack.
hello skull eater
Hello ARandomTrout356
Can you tell me exactly how much damage i need to deal to kill it?
My damage in this video was 953 before my last attack. So with 953 damage dealt, the sharkbone was still alive.
I don't know the exact amount of HP but as I've killed him with a total of 1119 damage, I would say he has 1000 HP.
They leave if I can’t do enough damage why are they doing this
Because they are scared of you!
Why is their hp so high 😂
I mean, they are level 40 with invisible healthbars
it isn't that high, they just have 88 defense and 60 hp according to Mario wiki, though that's probably just a placeholder.
They aren't unbeatable, there's literally a side quest to kill them in the midgame
they are unbeatable while you encounter them for the first time. They can one-shot and you only deal 1-3 damage on your turn. On the other hand they will just run away if you dodge their attacks over & over again.
So they are unbeatable as long as you haven't reached a certain level.
Why
Yo mori de forma humillante contra uno de esos que me hizo tremenda mufa QnQ
