Excellent documentary, I enjoyed every minute of it thoroughly. I hope the Sikhs can shift from mass-produced, printed copies of our Guru to traditional larivaar, handwritten Birs. Minor correction: the painting shown at 0:58 has been misidentified by many as depicting Bhai Bidhi Chand Chhina but in-actuality it is most likely a depiction of Baba Ram Rai, the son of Guru Har Rai Ji. I have archived historical depictions of Baba Bidhi Chand, so feel free to reach out if you want images of authentic artwork depicting him.
Most important Seva 🙏🏽 Guru granth Sahib Ji can only be written by hand. Cannot be printed. But please note- ordinary paper cannot be used. Special hand made cotton/linen fabric must be used and a special ink recipe must be used. Also there were never "1430" angs- this was standardised due to printing press limitations (font and pagination). Original puratan swaroops are each unique with different numbers of angs, depending on font size and pagination. Do not copy printed swaroops when writing by hand as there are several errors in printing. Make copy only from puratan hand written swaroop. Lastly, the cover and Bana (cover) must be khaddar (hand woven). Daas 🙏🏽
