Thanks for this. I was there, and this song in particular was special, since there was a non-zero chance we were going to walk out of the Garden into the Y2K apocalypse.
It had to do with Liberty going through a divorce and hard financial time in his life He wanted Billy to bail him out but Billy had his own money problems and could not afford to take care of the band the way he used to to. Billy was very generous to all of them The candy machine ran out of candy.
Love this song, in all of its iterations. One of the best, most compelling drum lines I've ever heard, particularly in a piano-based act.
Almost a prophet, stunning, breath-taking rendition! And what amazing instruments roaring behind him!
Little did we know. I remember. How could I forget as my brother was there. RIP my brother.
Great video from an amazing concert. Saw him in Tampa 2020 for the 10th time right before Covid-19 hit. Can't wait to see him again.
When I see him for the first time. I will die, my spirit will rise above my body and I will watch from there

Thank you for this!
I don’t know why Billy and Liberty had a falling out.. cause Libertys on fire here along with the rest of the band!!
I highly suspect it had nothing to do with Liberty's musicianship.
@@tracemontgomery5459 I believe that too…

THE most underrated drummer in the business. He puts his entire being into those drums...

It was nice for the occasion, but less is more.
When filling MSG on New Years Eve, more is more.
